Meet Adsense Publisher Dave Taylor

I'm Dave Taylor, and you can ask me any questions you have, even about AdSense. I founded my tech support website askdavetaylor.com back in 2002. Before that, I'd written lots of technical books and I was already getting emailed with questions. The site was simply a more efficient way of answering them. Originally, I focused on tech-supported web design issues, but my site now also covers gadgets and social media. And I get about a million visitors every month. I gave AdSense a try when it first came out in 2003 and I wasn't sure what to expect, but by month two I'd made enough to cover my hosting costs and suddenly realised my site could be a business unto itself. And within another month or two I was actually paying my mortgage with AdSense. And it's been great to see the improvements in reporting and ad targeting over the years. Instead of thinking about ads, I'm able to focus on creating great content. And frankly, it's still astonishing to think that this is a cornerstone of my income. Thanks to AdSense I've been able to spend more time with my children and it's benefited both them and my own personal life.
