(Shannon) Hi, I’m Shanon from Close To My Heart. Today, I want to show you
how easy it is to create party favors for your special occasions using
our new Cricut Artiste Cartridge. The bulk of these party favors were made
using one themed key on the cartridge: the “Birthday Boy” themed key.
Your little ones will be over the moon when they see these space-themed
party favors which are featured in the Autumn/Winter 2012 Idea Book.
Let’s jump right in and see what makes each favor so special.
The invitation is made by cutting three of the planet card shapes, one for
the base and then twice more at 1/4" smaller size in coordinating papers.
Then just trim away certain parts of the shape and layer
them together for this darling paper pieced invitation.
The party hat comes precut with these little negative spaced stars,
which you could choose to leave open or you could easily add a pop of color
to your project by lining the inside of the hat with a coordinating paper
or stamped images as has been done here. Then just add a few embellishments
and a paper ruffle to finish your project. A bag tag is a great way to quickly
label your party favors. This little tag is the only image that was not cut
from the “Birthday Boy” themed key. It is found on key number 8.
All of these stamped images, including this little robot, come from
the My Acrylix Out Of This World stamp set which coordinates perfectly
with the Cricut Artiste Cartridge. It’s really nice to not have
to hand cut every single stamped image out; you just let
the Cricut cut the shape for you, then stamp on the precut shape.
I love how playful, festive, and out of this world these party favors are.
But I especially love that they were super easy to make.
I just needed the Cricut® Artiste Cartridge, the coordinating stamp set,
and bright vibrant papers. If you’d like to make party favors like these
