How to Draw People Kissing under The Rain - Lovers

Hello my friends and Welcome to another Tuesday of tutorial! I am Leonardo Pereznieto and today we will sketch a couple kissing. We can start by the general shape of the heads... One by the other one, of course. The hair line and the arm as a reference. This is going to be simplified. Now his arm, and we may start with the outline of the bodies. As you have noticed I am sketching with a mechanical pencil on blue paper. The shape of his legs, a little bit further back otherwise looks out of balance. Remember that the heel should be on a straight line down from the ear for the body to look balanced, as a general rule... Which not always is true (laughs). Let´s draw her on a dynamic feminine pose... Nice! I like it. I want her foot to be off the ground a little bit, and there is no space. So I am actually going to make his legs a little bit longer. That will give him a better proportion also. Now we have the space, and this foot is off the ground. Good! Let´s do some simple features of faces. Her nose is going to be on this side of his face so partially will block his view. In this case the lips will be touching each other. Good! Now we can draw the lights with a white pencil, that´s why we are drawing on blue toned paper to have this effect. She is sexy! Now you can do the shadows with a black pencil. I am not going to do a lot with the black pencil. I will leave most of it on a middle tone which will be the blue of the paper. Only the darkest parts I´ll do them with the black. Let´s darken these lower areas which are in shadow and then some detail. The list of materials is in the information bellow the video. Good! Since it is going to be a wet floor we should do some reflections. A line to ground them a little bit and then... the rain! I start by pressing the pencil and then... lift it up. So that the lower part is whiter. We need many drops. On the ground let´s do some little splashes. Some final touches, some drops also over the bodies ... and it´s ready!
