A Japanese engineer has created a trash can that moves on its own to catch your trash. Developed by Minoru Kurata, the device features a wall-mounted sensor that detects which direction the trash is coming from. A computer then calculates the thrown trash's trajectory and moves the trash can so the item will land inside the can. The invention won an Excellence Award at the Japan Media Arts Festival.Source: LiveScience
