I was really inspired by Dr. Clevenger in the chemistry department.
Was really a great supporter of mine
I really enjoyed the
biology department
some of the
people on the faculty in biology were
very challenging, but when I got to medical school, I found out that I know,
I knew a lot more than
a lot of those other guys.
So, you know,
at the end of the day
those were really great people,
meant a lot to me, and really helped me to
understand more about myself and give me more insight into, I guess, my role in the
world.
I worked for Exxon Mobil corporation
and I am the assistant
manager for the United States for occupational health issues.
I end up
doing a lot of oversight
for clinic operations across the country. It' a fascinating job.
I think of so many people that have come through this institution, have done
so much. I feel unworthy of it, frankly
but I can say that I feel really honored by the fact
that I was selected.
I'm very much
an advocate of the new nursing program that we have at Texas A&M Commerce.
I think this is something that's
really not only nationally needed, but recently locally needed.
I know the kids today are so bright
and so curious and
we look to them as being sort of the
hope of the future.
