It was built in 1913. Welcome to the main branch of the New York Public Library, one of the world’s most important libraries, and one of my favorite spots. Come in and explore! Let’s take a lunch break at Fraunce’s Tavern. Word is, it’s the city’s oldest building. Everyone knows Wall Street is the world’s most important stock exchange, but what most fascinates me is that the USA’s first president was inaugurated here: George Washington, the man who didn’t want to be king.
