Intensive Driving Course in Grantham

Right so this is Kim. Hello Kim. Hello. Now Kim you did an Intensive Driving Course. You did the Top Up one. The Top Up Intensive Driving Course. And you did it in Grantham didn't you? Yea. Quite a few months ago now? Yep, February. And you passed successfully which was really good. Now how's things been since you've passed? Much better. Cheaper anyway. From doing the lessons before all the time. It's just more practical really. Instead of taking the bus to college. Because you had a bit of a trek didn't you? Over to Stamford way. I suppose I should say, you are in Bourne, and so you had the options of where you were going to do it. Tell us the story. You started off initally, doing driving lessons in Bourne with somebody else weren't you? Yep, I was doing driving lessons I started on my birthday which was around April time. I was doing a block of ten each time. For quite a big amount of money each time. Oh right. I had to buy about two blocks every two months. Until the next year, the next January. I didn't get anywhere, I did two tests. We didn't really practise anything. At the time I thought I was doing my lessons properly but when you go with someone else, you see that it's totally different. Ok so two tests were in Peterborough? Yea and I failed both. We're talking quite sizable amounts of money here aren't we. It's like £2000 sort of touch wasn't it? Yea, 2 grand I'd say. As well as the time as well, it was quite an amount of time as well that took. Very long yea. But, let's look at the positives. Fair play to you, because you decided right, I'm going to stop that, and I looked back on my records, you called me on the Friday, and by not that next Monday, but the Monday after that, 10 days, you had passed your test at Grantham. Yea. Which is a result really. That is what it's all about. But I just wondered if you could, there might be people watching this, who might be thinking to themselves, what is there to learn from that experience? That was quite costly in terms of your time as well as the dosh, is there anything that you can say to anyone who is watching? In terms of doing it? In terms of making it work for you personally. How did you, you converted that from quite a costly experience and you've changed it round. Obviously, I'd had lessons before which was very costly, but I would have come straight to you, and just done it in one go, it would obviously have been alot cheaper. Because I don't think it was expensive, for the result, I don't think it was expensive. And obviously, people have worries about not passing, and I did as well, but doing an Intensive Course, you are doing it every day for a week, and it helps so much more. Because I was so nervous before, and I had been driving for nearly a year with my other instructor. And I still felt nervous. It just didn't work did it.
