Strawberry Shortcake Nachos Recipe by The Sweetest Vegan
Hey my Sweet Vs, It's The Sweetest Vegan here and today on the show we will be doing a little different type of recipe
It is for Strawberry Shortcake Nachos. This is a little booklet that came in Food Network Magazine
It's called 50 Nachos and it has 50 nacho ideas.
Even though I already have two strawberry shortcake recipe on my channel, you can never get enough Strawberry Shortcake
So here we go.
We are going to start by frying our tortillas in oil that is 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
When you start to see bubbles form at the top and them start to brown, that is how you know it is time to turn them
Watch the tortillas closely though, because they burn quickly from this point.
Once they are done you are going to transfer them to paper towels so that the excess oil can drain
And then sprinkle them with cinnamon sugar.
This gives them a sweet taste instead of the traditional salty taste.
Then you are going to take the coconut cream from a can of coconut milk
Refrigerate it for about 30 minutes prior to using it and it will separate the cream from the milk.
Whisk it, add in a little powdered sugar and once it is done you can see the ribbons
form and stay at the top of your mixture.
Layer your coconut cream onto your tortilla chips, then layer on strawberries,
and you can you more coconut cream if you wish and more strawberries if you are a really big fan
This came out excellent. The tortilla chip was sweet and cinnamon-y and crunchy
The you had the creaminess and the sweetness of the strawberries.
