I paid for my MBA both with a couple of loans and grants as well as receiving a scholarship
from the institution I attended. Applying for scholarships can be incredibly daunting
because there are so many different organizations that sponsor the funds; and of course then
earmark the way you’re going to spend it. I would say really conduct the due-diligence
on the ones that you think you would be competitive for and also just don’t take for granted
the fact that you can put out an application and receive some financial assistance with
it. I think a lot of people tend to take the loan or grant route just because it’s the
easy way out, but I think if you spend a little more time and tailor an application towards
a specific organization per se, then it really can pay off in the long run.
