Avemar on Cnn 2002

In Hungary some scientist have developed and patented a new drug they say can treat and even prevent the development of cancer. The medicine is made from fermented wheat germ extract. The researchers believe that the drug stimulates the immune system. Hungary's MTV takes us to Budapest to learn more about that. Cancer research in Hungary has reached a turning point. On the activity of more than a hundred scientists a special nutriment for sufferers from malignant tumours was presented in Budapest. -Avemar is a medical nutriment for cancer patients, which is recommended as supportive medication, supporting the clinical oncotherapy, mainly chemotherapy during the treatment of the patients by the chemotherapy, and after the treatment finished Avemar should be consumed, should be applied continuously. Avemar was tested by two hundred researchers and doctors all around the world. The special nutriment is very effective against other diseases as well. -We have done studies on the aspect of the diseases, it is called auto immune diseases, which are very similar to cancer in many mechanisms. And from these we can allude that this Avemar works through cytokines. it changes the immune system, to allow a better immune system that can fight cancer better. Avemar is not a wonder substance, the researcher said, but due to its immunological power, it inhibits the proliferation of cancer cells. The achievement of Hungarian researcher will guarantee a longer life for patients suffering from cancer. -In the group of patients who had this additional therapy beside the normal professional prescribed oncological therapy, we have seen a statistically significant better survival rate.
