blogging, tweeting, article writing and pinning are all online components of a modern business.
But what about video, are you using it? This short blog explores a few reasons why you
should be all over this video stuff. Hi, I'm Ryan Stone, Creative Director of Lambda Films
and we make video for businesses. So, we've heard all the questions, concerns and excuses
there is when it comes to why companies shouldn't invest in video. So, in this blog we're going
to go through some of them. You're probably well aware of the ongoing war to rank web
pages on the front page of Google. Well, according to Forrester, properly optimised video is
53 times more likely to appear on page one. If your business sells products or anything
physical, then this one's for you. Products that have accompanying videos are 95% more
likely to be bought. This is of course providing that your pricing is competitive but if it's
between your product and a competitor who doesn't have video, then with this small addition
you could be generating massive extra sales. Visitors bounce in and out of websites all
the time, but a front page video can add two minutes to visitors stay on your website.
This is a massive extra amount of time to get your message or your sales pitch across.
Got one of these? Video accounts for 50% of all mobile traffic. People can consume your
website content easily and more comfortably if they can watch a video. This allows you
to create customers wherever they are. If you think you run a traditional business,
accountancy or legal for example, you may be mistaken in the belief that you have nothing
exciting to say or show. Now that's complete rubbish. Not only is video a creative medium
and allows visually interesting ways to convey dry content, but more importantly you have
a story and you have expertise, both excellent material for video. Now there's still a lot
of anxiety about buying or contracting online and a personal video does wonders for diminishing
the fears of your potential clients. No longer are you just a shady, faceless entity on the
web but a real person or a team of people. I hate to trot out the old cliche "people
buy from people", but hey - it's true. "But it's so expensive!" Who told you that? This
isn't Hollywood. Video is not as expensive as you may think, with a plethora of apps,
software and tutorial material the price can start from, well, free. Expensive? My ***.
No matter what line of business you're in, video will improve your online presence, your
sales and your brand. Any other questions? Shout them out below and we'll get back to
you. If not, subscribe to our channel and get more video marketing tips delivered right
