Hello, my name is Alex Gutierrez. I am
a senior here at Springbrook going in my second year of IB. I would really like to go to this
trip to Thailand because I really want to get this experience of volunteering for a
cause outside of my native country. I would like to get the opportunity to interact with others of a different culture
to learn the Buddhist values and culture and to also get the experience of
traveling abroad. Thank you.
Lindsay Lucero Hi, my name is Lindsay Lucero, and I'm a junior here at Springbrook High School. I want to go
to Thailand because community service is really important to me, and I also haven't gone to
another country to do this type of service, and I think it'd be really nice to experience another culture
and I've always been interested in doing this type of work. Springbrook's
IB diploma program allows us to go outside the country and get involved with this
service trip. I also think that going to Thailand will be a life-changing and unforgettable
experience, not only for us, but also for the people
that we will be helping out there.
Cory Young Hello. My name is Cory Young, and I would
like to go on the Thailand trip for numerous reasons. I've traveled to many places in
the states, but I've never gone abroad. I think it will be very fun to go abroad to
Thailand to see the different buildings and cultures they have there. I like doing outreach. I've done
many outreach projects with my church and with my school. I've made sandwiches for
homeless shelters, I've sang Christmas carols to people who were not healthy enough to come
to my church. But this will be something different! I like having to smile. I think I could also
give a smile to the people in Thailand who don't have much to smile about.
This will be a life-changing experience for me, and I cannot wait.
Derek Thompson Hi, I'm Derek, and I would love to go to Thailand because
it's so different from where I live now. Going to a new place
that is really diverse and unique. It is truly amazing. I love the fact that we are going
there to help local communities. We are going to go there and build shelters and really help out the local people. So, I think it's going to be great.
Eman Abdul-Rahman My name is Eman Abdul-Rahman. I am a senior
at Springbrook High School. The reason why I really want to go to Thailand is because I want
to be able to have the opportunity to take my love of volunteering and community service to Thailand
and to be able to affect a greater community outside of the United States.
Gilchrist Toh Hi, My name is Gilchrist and I 'm excited to go on this trip to Thailand
I am excited to go on this trip to Thailand because this will provide a fun experience for me and the IB students at my school.
I believe this trip will provide a good chance for me to do community service abroad
which I have never done. I would recommend this trip to anyone in my school or any IB students in my school. Thank you.
Jamie Davis Hi, my name is Jamie and I would like to go
to Thailand because I've never been to Asia and I think it would be cool to do service-learning
in another country, and learn about what the daily life is like in Thailand.
Jaylla Brown Hi, my name is Jaylla Brown and I would like
to go to Thailand this year on the trip with the IB students because I'd like to have
a new experience seeing as though I've never been outside of the country before and I would
really like to help the community in Thailand. I really like learning and I like to go places
for different cultures, so I really hope this will be a good thing for me. Thank you.
Jonthan Brown Hi my name is Jonathan Brown, and I want to go to Thailand because this will be my first time traveling outside the country
Going with the IB department, focusing on helping other people, and the community service aspect of it is just perfect for me.
I love to help other people. I just want to experience another culture besides the USA.
Especially after learning so much about Asia and all those countries with IB in the last couple years.
Maggie Wartman My name is Maggie Wartman, and I would love to go to Thailand because
I want to exlore the Thai culture, I want to see Thai temples
and I would love to ride an elephant!

Nathan Vorachack Hello! My name is Nathan Vorachack and I would love to go to Thailand this summer
because I truly love the feeling of helping others, and I feel like doing community service abroad
will be an amazing experience for me and the other IB students.
Ramsey Telhami Hi my name is Ramsey, and I want to go to Thailand
because I love going to new places. I love doing new things and eating new foods.
And Thailand is pretty far away from anywhere I've ever been before
and I'll get to do plenty of that, get to ride an elephants, go to Buddhist temples
and get to help people out by building stuff along the way, so I get to feel good about myself
Shannon Dunn Hey, I'm Shannon Dunn. I'm a junior here at Springbrook High School.
I'm so excited to go on this Thailand trip for so many reasons!
One, I get to help do service stuff out of the country and
I get to leave the country! I've never done that before in my life and this is going to be just an amazing trip altogether! And i just can't wait!
Sofia Perez Hi! My name is Sofia Perez. I'm a junior here at Springbrook.
And I want to go to Thailand because community service is important to me.
I've never done community service abroad but I have done a bunch of stuff in my local community.
So I think the new experiences and cultural differences in Thailand will present a challenge for me to understand
the Thailand people and to help them at the same time.
Victoria Yetley Hi, my name is Victoria Yetley, and I am a junior at Springbrook High School.
I want to go on the Thailand trip because my granparents have inspired me to travel abroad
and to really learn different cultures and have different experiences and
I want to do what they did and travel around the world and just experience how people live in different countries
Zoe Braddock Hi, I'm Zoe Braddock, and I'm excited to go to Thailand because my family doesn't travel much.
I've never been outside of North America. I've never been on an air plane. So this is the perfect
opportunity for me to start having some independent experiences and an opportunity for me
to see a new culture and a new place and at the same time help people
