Hi there. I had initially planned to demonstrate Tango, but apparently I have the incorrect
driver installed on my laptop and my image is upside down. It’s quite funny but, you
would be so distracted, because I am, that it would not be affective. So I have decided
to demonstrate Quizinator. I know that there are several of us in this
course that have expressed finishing our degrees to become a certified teacher, so I thought
this tool could help save time and it is pretty neat to use.
First you have to set up an account, which I have already done, and login.
There is a quick how-to guide that will walk you through the steps if you need additional
assistance, but it is pretty straightforward and easy to use.
Today I will demonstrate how to create a question and a new document.
First click on – Add Question to my Library Next, select the type of question you would
like to use. Let’s use, Multiple Choice
It’s here that you will choose the level of difficulty, category to place it in, the
grade level you are working in, and the subject. So let’s go – Subject – Math; Level
– Grade Four; Category – Main (the only choice); Difficulty – Moderate
Notice there’s many different tools for you to use, but I don’t have the time frame
to explain them all. And type in your question – Johnny is riding his bike to school and back
home each day. He lives 3 miles from school. How many total miles did Johnny ride his bike
in one week? Save the question and another screen will
appear. This is where you will add your answers and
select the correct answer. So, let me quickly add 4 answers and select
the correct answer of 30. Now go back to the home page and let’s Build
a new quiz or exam and add our generated questions. I have recently created a couple of questions
to select and there are sample questions that can also be used.
Click on – Build a new quiz or exam; and make a new document.
Just follow the steps – Document name – Unit 1 Quiz; Document Group
– choices are Main, Study Sheets, Worksheets, Exams, Quizzes.
Since I named it Unit 1 Quiz, I will put it in Quizzes
Document Subject – Math Question 4 is asking to make it public so
that you can insert it into a blog or personal web page; you would click in the box – create
public link if you wish to do that, today we will leave it blank.
And last, if you made it public, you could add a description – and again we will leave
this blank. Save and continue
Step 2 brings you to adding the questions to your quiz Click – Add next to the questions
to be added and they move to the right side under the title, Document Questions.
Click Next and so far we have 2 questions on our quiz.
In the next Step, you can customize your header at the top of the page, the top of the page,
bottom of the page, and so on. We are going to add a field to the Document
Header, click in the box and a group of boxes will appear.
Put your cursor over Name and the cross will appear, click the left mouse button and drag
the field to the designated area and release. Do the same with Date, click, drag, and release.
Click on Page Top. Click on Document Name, drag, and release.
Click the Save button to save your document. You can preview you document but clicking
in Preview Pdf. Here is your created document; outside the
margins a little bit but I think you get the idea.
Like I said, pretty straightforward and simple to use so have fun creating.
