Horse Jockey at Lone Star Park
((Music Playing, Crowd Cheering))
Every jockey's got their own decision on whether or how to joke
around or get serious about it or listen to music right before their race and stuff.
It just depends on each jockey.
Before the races, yes I like to joke around and play around but when
i usually get seriuos is out in the paddock. That's when I get really serious
about it and not play around and joke around.
((Bugle Playing))
A lot of hard work. You got to put a lot of hours in, in the morning of course
you know get used to the horses and stuff.
It's a lot of work. It's just not getting on horses and going it's awesome, you know.
You're in the gates and just waiting for
a horse to come out and you know it's from zero to
fourty (mph) in half a second coming out of the gates theirs just adrenaline.
Mostly coming down the lane.
When it's time to run, down the back side it's easy and mentaly on the back
side but coming down the lane is, it's really adrenaline.
Actually when you're off the pace and knowing you're going to win it's
awesome, it's hard to explain.
