Hi, and welcome back to Hair with Hollie.
So today I'm going to show you how to do this super easy plaited updo which is great for
shorter hair. It's so easy to do and it's great for back-to-school or any kind of formal
occasions you have, to.

So we're just going to start off with a center parting, here. This generally works better
if your hair is a little bit dirty, a little bit limp, so it's a nice idea to pump a little
dry shampoo in to give it a little texture.
So what I'm going to do now is starting at the front of the hair, I'm going to section
off around a 2-inch section, I'm going to back comb it slightly just so the flat is
not stuck to the hairline, and I'm just going to start French plaiting it back toward the
back of the head, working toward the nape of the neck, collecting hair as you go around.
So I'm just going to start off normal, as if you're just plaiting, dividing into three
and then just keep going, a little bit over the other, taking the hair both under and
over the plait.
So just keep going, work into the part that you made on the top of the head until you've
used up all of the hair on this side.
Once you reach the nape of the neck you can just pop a bobbin in it and I'm going to do
the exact same thing on the other side.
Okay, so now were left with two plaits, two little piggy tails. So I'm just going to twist
these over, and depending on the length of your hair, you can work it into a bigger knot
or a bigger feature, but since we've got shorter hair here I'm going to just twist them into
a knot and then pin.
I'm just using curler grips that are the same color as our model's hair, it gives her quite
a sleeker look. One done.
Just work the hair into any shape that you prefer, it's completely up to you.
I'm going to finish off this look with a good bit of hairspray just to smooth away any fly-aways.
And we're done!
So there you have it, it's a super easy look for shorter hair, it's so quick, too.
