When does the lunch break start and when does it end?
This school's lunch break.
Eleven...fifty. It's starts at 11:50.
Students: To twelve...fifty. 12:50.
Why did you choose this school?
If you graduate after 2 years you get an academic degree.
There are many elective classes in the afternoon where you have the freedom of choice.
- Okay I'm doing it! - Whoa, for real! Hey! Hey!
Again, again, again, again!
During the classes the teachers use a direct method. Which basically means everything is in Japanese.
But of course, if there's a question you don't understand or need support with daily life-
- understanding is important, so basically we have staff that can give support in English,-
- Chinese and Korean, so students don't have to worry about being lost in translation.
There are really a lot of different elective classes, like conversation classes for people who want to find work,-
- cooking classes, cultural classes. For people who want to go to university there are JLPT classes, for example.
It's really great, everyone in the class has the same goal so we all work hard together.
First I'll transfer to a university, and when I've graduated from there I want to find work here.
- You want to find work in Japan? - Yes.
- What elective classes are you taking now? - Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT).
What do you start out with in the beginner class?
In the very beginning we do things like greetings and memorization of words used in class.
Of course the students have a limited vocabulary when asking questions in the beginning,
- so we quickly imagine what they want to convey, kinda like an association game.
First of all we want students to be able to say things like their own name and where they're from in Japanese.
Things in japanese pop culture like anime, manga, music and drama-
- are gaining popularity and thanks to that, more people are coming to Japan to study the language.
We definitely want you to become able to watch and understand these things in real Japanese.
We will support you in the process, so please come to Japan and study with us at Kansai College.
We look forward to seeing you.
