The day before you move, another thing that you want to think about, is taking furniture
apart that might be easier to move if it's taken apart. So for instance I have this big
cutting block table. And it's a very heavy table. And I know that it's going to be a
lot easier to move if I can take it apart. And which I know that I can, because I have
several times before. So, you might want to just check, with tables in particular. A lot
of tables have table tops that come up, come off. Legs that fold under or come off. So
those are good things to know. And the day before to go ahead and do that. And then to,
so you can have that just ready to move to the truck. Another thing that a lot of people
might have that comes apart are shelving units. Different kinds of shelving units. So, these
shelves for instance, all the shelves come out. And then their little, little brass pieces
that the shelves sit on that I would also want to take out. Any hardware that you take
out of a piece of furniture, you want to put into a zip lock bag or some kind of plastic
bag or any kind of bag. And what I like to do is just tape it inside the furniture. You
can do that, or just be very aware of having a particular place that you're putting those.
Maybe in the glove compartment of your car is another good place. So that you don't lose
any of that hardware. Because that can be hard to find for pieces of furniture.
