First time we went on tour
We were 16 and highly motivated.
DOM: Will was 15.
RALPH: We had just finished recording a quick demo.
We thought we had to do what other bands did.
So, we hit the road and played shows to promote our music.
We went ahead and bought the first van we saw. An old 700$ Dodge van.
We left for Ontario. On an adventure. We didn't even know what we were doing.
It went pretty well anyways. We had good shows, we were surprised.
Hugo finds the documentarist and drummer already up
or... not asleep, yet?
Dom is sleeping in a confortable bed to heal his voice
while inert bodies litter the floor.
When he wakes up, Dom is a mute singer. DOM: I lost the use of my voice due to a flu.
If I want to keep up with the shows
I think I don't have a choice...
I have to stick a garlic clove up my ***.
It is not without difficulty and effortlessly
that Dominic succeeds.
DOM: This ain't funny. I don't really know what to do...
WILL: Oh, my god...
It's in your butt at the moment?
Finally, we were told it's an old myth... Oops.
After waking up Will and Sacha from their 1-hour sleep
We have to leave for l'Écurie to get a box of the new album.
DOM: We're at l'Écurie.
Booking agency and management.
With a GPS constantly losing satellite connection, Martine and its contents
finally arrive in Ottawa.
DOM: I think we were booked on a street punk show. We won't fit quite well.
What I like to show them is
it's not in the way you dress, but in the way you move on stage and give a performance.
Even though the crowd is not there for The Hunters
the boys gave all they had. As usual.
They painted the atmosphere with their music. Playing a shorter setlist
to give a break to Dominic's voice.
11PM, the show is over.
Astpai wander through town on a guided tour of the Canadian capital.
The original plan changes. Hugo will take the wheel
to get us closer to tomorrow's destination, London, Ontario.
Sleeping at an OnRoute (truck stop) is rarely luxury.
Except when you're on tour.
A guy on every seat, the band on makeshift beds at the back of the van
and Robbie on the floor.
Good night, sleep tight. See you tomorrow, London awaits.
