I
hello everyone and welcome back to my
Channel today I'm back with the second
dress in this holiday season series and
today's dress is going to be this dress
in the background which is sparkly
copper-colored strapless dress for which
i also used a burda pattern and i
used the november issue of 2015 which
actually has a feature on copper and
camel clothing items. let me just show you
some of the beautiful patterns
when I found these copper sparkly
fabric in one of the fabric stores I
immediately thought about this feature so i
browsed through all of these pattern and
then decided on this pattern
which is not just pretty but
also very simple to create and I believe it
didn't take me more than an hour to
create this dress the fabric I got has a
bit of stretch to it you can also make
these dress out of a non-stretchy fabric
which I believe would be actually more preferable
preferable because you have to tie around
and it is just easier if it doesnt stretch
I used no more than a meter for this. Of course
take out the pattern from the magazine i
also use the tracing paper and pen i
had tread in much in color I believe that was it really
So now let's get started. This pattern has three pieces
start by taking the pattern out from the
magazine then place them on your folded
fabric and cut each pattern piece out
twice
I lengthened the skirt part as i did not
have enough paper for the whole length
of the skirt to get the hem pattern for
the back to cut the top of the back
pattern piece and place it on the folded fabric
cut it out once
first stitch the back center piece together
right side facing
attach the side seams as well
let's put together the hem piece for the
top and tie sew the side seams together
now place the hem piece on the top of
your dress alligning the back and side
seams together you will need to stitch
through the long edges starting from the
center of the front going through the
tie the back the tie again on the other
side and finish it off in the front
center again
saw together the front seam line up until
the hem piece
turnout the strap pieces created for the
tie and iron them down
lastly fold in the bottom of the skirt and sew
it down
there you have it hope you like the
dress and enjoy this tutorial if you did
don't forget to give it a thumbs up and
subscribe and I will see you in my next
video thanks so much for watching
