Here I'll demonstrate another variation of playing eighth notes in groupings of six over
the ride cymbal pattern. In this variation, we're not going to play one and six in the
grouping of six. So let's count this out to see how it sounds and then we'll bring it
to the drums. One, two, three, four. One two three four five six one two three four five
six one two three four five six, right. Let's take out one and six. Two three four five,
two three four five, two three four five, two three four five.
I'll slow this down a little bit between the hands so we can see exactly what's going on
there, where the hands line up and where they don't.
