Baldwin County Sheriff's Office Addresses Officer - Involved shooting

THERE WERE SEVEN LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS ON THE SCENE WHEN STEPHEN BRYAN WAS SHOT EARLY SUNDAY. ONLY TWO FIRED THEIR WEAPONS. BALDWIN COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPUTY MICHAEL WALKER, AND BAY MINETTE POLICE LT MICHAEL LAMEY HIT BRYAN IN THE HIP AND THE LEG. SHERIFF HOSS MACK SAYS DASH CAM VIDEO FROM TWO PARTOL CARS SHOWS EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED. AND THE SHERIFF SAYS THE OFFICERS GET A SHOTGUN FROM HIS TRUCK WHEN THEY FIRED. THOSE WERE SOME OF THE DETAILS BROUGHT OUT DURING EARLIER TODAY WE TALKED TO SOME OF BRYAN'S NEIGHBORS WHO WERE ANXIOUS TO FIND OUT WHAT HAPPENED. Bryan's home on Old Brady Road today. But, a man who emerged from the carport a few minutes later obviously didn't want to talk to "Do you think the family can give us an update?" By this morning the only information the was that deputies were called to the home after Bryan carried a shotgun into the tool shed out back and Bryan left before deputies arrived. His vehicle was spotted by deputies and Bay Minette police around 12;30 Sunday morning on Highway 59. Bryan was shot officers demands, and allegedly reached for the shotgun inside Neighbors on the road where Bryan lives say he was well respected. News of the shooting has left many surprised and saddened.
