At least three people have been killed and seven injured after a Super Typhoon tore through
the Philippines, causing chaos and mass destruction.
More than a million people were forced to flee their homes, many now trying to salvage
what's left.
The Category 5 typhoon destroyed buildings, cutting power lines and caused storms to flood
coastal villages and remote areas.
With winds of near 230 miles per hour, it's been reported as the most powerful typhoon
to hit the western Pacific this year. It was twice the size of the St. Jude storm, which
hit Britain last month.
The true scale of the damage is unknown, and the death toll is expected to rise as the
country begins to clean up and deal with the aftermath.
The Super Typhoon is expected to move across the South China Sea, where it can become even
stronger as it heads toward Vietnam and China.
