I actually knew very, very young that I wanted to be in this business. When I applied for Cornell University I actually had pictures that I had drawn when I was seven of models in different outfits. I had the unique experience of working with two of the greatest talents in my business, Rachel Zoe and Andrea Lieberman. I loved working with both of them because they both worked on two very different sides of the industry. Rachel focused on the red carpet Hollywood glamour while Andrea did more of the costume design elements with concert tours and album packaging. So I really got to see the broad range of what I needed to learn to become successful in the business. I really think that fashion is an extension of one's personality, so it's very important for me when working with my celebrity clients to bring a little bit of that out on the red carpet. I always try to make a selection that really, really embodies who they are as a person. My clients actually have it super easy when they travel. I make sure everything is pre-packaged and labeled and they have Polaroids of every single look. For the every day women, one of my biggest tips would be to just really try and forecast what you're going to do as far as activities and the weather as well. That way you have something for any occasion. One of the reasons I love SOREL boots is they have this amazing duality to them.
