"Module Four: Redeeming a Customer Reward when the Customer Forgets their Reward Coupon"
In this module, I'll explain how to redeem a reward coupon
when a customer's forgot to bring it in and asks you to find it for them.
Let's say your customer has just purchased some merchandise,
and you're in the middle of completing the sale through DealerVu.
You have your invoice screen open,
have inserted your customer, and have inserted the merchandise into the invoice.
Now the customer says that they think they have a reward,
but forgot to bring it with them.
You can look it up for them by following these steps.
First opener rewardlogic manager,
now go to the VIP screen,
Click the "FILTER" button and search for your customer.
You can search by using various criteria like a partial name.
Once you have found the customer, click the "DRILL DOWN" button to open their "DETAILS" screen.
On the right side,
you will see a listing of the rewards. The "RECEIVED" status indicates which rewards
are available for redemption.
Select the DRILL DOWN (magnifying glass) icon to the right of the reward you want to redeem.
This will insert the reward into the "CLAIM REWARDS" screen.
Briefly review the information and verify it's valid.
Switch back to DealerVu and find the invoice number.
Now add it to the "NOTES" section
of the "REDEEM REWARDS" screen, and click "CLAIM REWARD".
The reward is now claimed, and no longer available for redemption.
Switch back to DealerVu, and go to the "PAYMENT" screen.
Click on the "OTHER PAYMENT METHODS" button and select "REWARDS CHECK".
If "REWARDS CHECK" is not listed, there may be a different selection that is
accustomed to your location.
If this is the case check with your system administrator.
Now add the amount of the coupon,
and complete the sale.
