Hello, I'm Alfred Van Kuik, and today, I'd like to tell you all about my vision of social networking, for true car enthusiasts If you're anything like me, you see cars as a lot more than just transportation To us, they're even more than a hobby They've become a part of our life we couldn't live without anymore Well, maybe we could. But it would be pretty damn boring I know I'm not alone in this I meet these car enthusiasts all the time when I'm on the road We wave, give eachothers cars thumbs up or flash our lights in greeting I wanted to create a platform where I could meet these people The idea of AutoSocial was born Hello I'm Joost Zaal and I respresent the AutoSocial network when you register on AutoSocial you create a driver's profile. You can fill in a few details about yourself but that's not our key feature When your Driver Profile is filled out it's time to add your car to your virtual garage. Fill in the details, add pictures, and your car now has it's own page Everytime you change something to your car, which can be something small like new spark plugs, or something large like a complete engine conversion You can add it to the profile the site will keep track of everything and thus create a complete history of your ride this makes it easy to see when you did certain things and when you might want to do them again. You can add pictures and small descriptions to every change or leave them blank. All these changes can be shared with your friends or kept private This can be very convenient for yourself or for when the sad day comes that you have to sell your car Friends? Well yeah! What is a social network without friends? Of course you can add your already existing friends. But what we really want to focus on making some new ones. AutoSocial will use an algorithm to find people that will fit you. The car they drive, location, age, and other hobbies can all play a part in this. Look at each other's cars online. Then go out to meet eachother. Go cruising together or help each other fix car related issues for this you can use the support layer of the website which will allow you to read and write tutorials of any kind this user created database will grow over time, and will be nicely organized by category, and if needed, by make and model If the tutorials can't help you, you can ask a question to the community said question will pop up on the homepage of everybody that has the same car so you're bound to get a quick reply. We have some big plans for the support page but this is the basic idea so far There is one last function of AutoSocial I want to tell you about remember how we want to encourage you making new friends are just as car-crazy as you? Well, what better way to do that than through car events? Drives, conventions, it can be anything with a few clicks you can create an event and everybody with the cars you selected will be invited What about a sunday ride for just any car or a meeting only for maza roadsters? And AutoSocial will make sure you're not the only one there Afterwards, you can still add pics, see who was there to add them to your friends list talk about the event these are just three of the basic functions we want to add to AutoSocial we have huge plans but unfortunately, not all of them can make it at this point we need your money to even get this far.
