last week or the week prior we spoke about this
oil related or rather cold related spill that took place in West Virginia
and it contaminated the water earth three hundred thousand West Virginians
to such an extent that not only should they not drink the water
they should not even touch the water however it got
rolled relatively little media coverage compared to
they call Obamacare horror stories for example or it being cold as proof that
there is no fear of climate change
now Anthony sent me a story from WCPO which shows that the West Virginia
chemical leak
which contaminated that water like I said for three hundred thousand West
Virginians
has made its way to Ohio upstream
by way over the Ohio River according to Cincinnati
waterworks people are saying in West Virginia
even though they've been told the water is now safe to drink
people say it still burns their noses is plain water
supposed to burn your nose Louis I'm guessing no
if so I've been drinking the wrong water for a very long time
exactly and now Greater Cincinnati water work says that
the exact same chemical involved in the spill
in West Virginia has been identified upstream
in a river sample late yesterday evening the sample came from the male doll damn
about 25 miles upstream from the city's treatment plant they've been collecting
samples between maize bill Kentucky
and Cincinnati Ohio they're gonna continue to monitor that water
they expect it will pass sometime between 24
and 48 hours from now experts say residents
won't need to see the tests to know if the chemical was there
they'll be able to smell licorice in the water that's the sign Louis
slightly more coverage if this now that it's affecting multiple states it is
completely absurd to me Lewis that we have
tainted water it smells like licorice
affecting hundreds of thousands of people across
multiple states and instead
we're talking about I don't know individual
made up Obamacare horror stories that are really the result of people
filling out the wrong number kids or something like that
when we have this situation as a result of course
up the fossil fuel industry rights
I not sure why it's getting such
little attention it's pretty interesting to me I'd certainly want to know about
this but
I at the very least there I guess though the water
although toxic it perhaps that he has a pleasant smell
right yeah I mean if you like licorice I guess there's some kind of upside I i
wonder if maybe the
lobbyists for all of the different industries involved will focus on
that you know it's all about in crisis management you want to really focus on
the positive in the positive here is
some people like licorice and the tainted water that you shouldn't even
touch
has a smell that is reminiscent of licorice so that something positive I
guess
the app sounds like a sounds like a win to me
I could clearly david this lack of regulation
and pandering to big corporations is working just fine here know that it's
working great is working out great for everybody
including the people who are drinking plain water and their nose burns
thats it's working really great for that
