Tip:
Highlight text to annotate it

Hello, my names Deon and I'm a Lead Generation
Consultant. This short video is about how you could be turning away and frustrating
up to 50 percent of the people searching for your website on a mobile phone and of course
how you can fix it and generate more leads for your business plus at the end a bonus
tip. But first of all, I just have to bring up an example of a website that hasn't
been optimized for a mobile phone. As you can see straight away, the text is pretty
much unreadable unless you pinch, zoom, drag, all that sort of irritating stuff that can
turn off a potential client. There's no easy way for a customer to call you. Because
it's designed for a desktop, the images are large thus making the pages slow to load
and if the persons in a bad reception area, those pages may not even load at all. And
if these images were flash on a real iPhone, those images wouldn't show up at all, they'd
just be a blank space. So overall, with this pretty poor experience with someone on a mobile
phone to try and gain information they are looking for and potentially make that call
to you. So here's an example of a mobile optimized website. As you can see there's
a very clear click to call action, making it very simple for someone to make contact
with the company. It's very easy to scroll and all the main tabs highlighted and easy
to view and because it's optimized for a mobile, the load times for the pages is
far quicker. Google recommends that pages load within 5 seconds and we carry out various
tests to ensure that happens. Obviously some of the main features on here that you'd
be interested is the contact us page, so as well as having the call button, people are
getting to contact you via email and the map. People enter their details into the directions,
which will fire up the phones GPS system, which will guide them into your location making
it very easy for the customer to find your business. We also produce a mobile site map
which we ping to Google, making them aware that your website is there so that will help
your SEO which is different to your desktop site, making it easier for people to find you
that way as well. So as you can see it's a much more user-friendly experience for a
potential client to make contact with you. Now you may be it thinking, "well I don't
actually need anymore customers at the moment," which is great but I'm sure at some point
in the future you will. But even so, even for your existing customers, you still want
to make their experience with your website a pleasant one and it's easily done by
creating a mobile optimized website because they still need to find information quickly
and potentially make contact with you to ask any questions about that service that you're
offering. Now with that being said, you may be wondering, do I really need a mobile optimized
website? So for that I suggest you do a search for the mobile playbook, which is a report
put together by Google, some of the point's I'd like to highlight to you now: Mobile
search queries have grown 5 times in the past two years. This is growing at a parabolic
rate. Something of particular interest if you are restaurant for instance, is that 1
in 3 people searching for a restaurant are doing so on a mobile phone. 85% of smart phone
users have searched for local info, 81% have called a business after searching, 40% of
people visited in person and along the bottom here you can see some of the household names
which are fully embracing mobile technology. And the last three points are 57% of users
say they wouldn't recommend a business with a poorly designed website, 40% have turned
to a competitors site after a bad mobile experience. So if a potential client is looking at your
website and it's difficult to use, the pages don't load quick enough, they cant
see how to contact you easily and they just go to another competitors website and their
websites far more engaging then its clearly the competitors going to get the call rather
than yourself. So last tip from Google is your number 1 priority is to build a mobile
website. So I hope that helps you in making a decision as to whether you need a mobile
website or not. Now I mentioned at the beginning a bonus tip and if you'd like to know how

characters. Now when they do text in, you'll be immediately alerted via email thus making
this a very hot prospect. Now you could call them up straight away if that's what you'd
