Hi, this is Miranda Thacker with your KYTC Minute. Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear and numerous local officials recently broke ground on the fourth reconstruction phase of KY 7 in Elliott County. A five-mile section of KY 7 between Sandy Hook and the Carter County line will be reconstructed and widened -- which will improve access and motorist safety. Construction of this $26.5 million project will begin shortly and we'll have project updates along the way. Here's a reminder that the Kentucky State Fair will take place August 15-25 in Louisville. Kentucky Transportation Cabinet staff will be on hand, plus, we'll have games and video presentations.
