Hello everybody. My name is Tasha and welcome to Heart of Tarts.
On today's show we will make a Lollipop Lollipop oh Lolli Lolli pop tart. Here we go.
To begin you are going to preheat your oven to 350 degrees F
Then to a food processor you are going to add in 1 1/2 cups old fashion oats, along with 5 pitted dates,
1/4 teaspoon salt, and 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg.
Once you have pulverized it down to a flour, you are going to add in 1/4 cup water and 3 tablespoons coconut oil.
Pulse that until everything is just moistened and sticking together
Pulse that until everything is just moistened and sticking together
and then press the crust mixture around the sides and bottom of a 9 inch tart pan.
Bake that for 15 minutes until it is brown and dry and then we can make our filling.
I am making a green filling just to keep it candy land-isk. I love candyland, don't you?
I can live in Candyland. I love sugar so so much, but let's get back to the tart. This is not about my obsessive sugar addiction
To the food processor, you are going to add in two peeled bananas, one peeled and pitted avocado,
and one teaspoon vanilla extract.
Blend that to a puree then spread evenly around your cooled tart crust.
Now we can start with our lollipop design.
I have a couple of colors here, you can use more colors than I have.
I have purple grapes, which I am going to start my spiral pattern with and then you are going to stop right before you
get back to where you started so that you can loop it inward and keep going like a lollipop swirls around.
And then I have chopped the peel and just outer layer of flesh of a red apple as you can see I am doing here and
I lined those pieces up along with the purple grapes.
Now that I am thinking of it, I probably should have put the green apple between the red and the purple just to
break it up a little bit more, but it still looks fantastic and now that I think about it,
the red would have ended up next to the purple again anyway once we swirled it all around. If I am thinking about this correctly
Just line the fruit up and swirl it inward until you get to the inside and you are basically done.
Now some people ask, "How do you go about dissembling your tart, cutting it and serving it?"
Well today I am just going to show you how I take it out of the tart pan.
It should be loose along the sides and if it is not don't force it. Just loosen it with a knife and it should pop right out.
I have a plate ready to receive the tart along with the removable part of the tart pan.
Just place it on that all together.
I am just going to finish off my lollipop with a lollipop candy stick.
As you can see, I taped two of them together and I just stuck it into the crust through the filling.
It stayed pretty stiff. I really enjoyed how Candyland and lollipop this tart turned out and hopefully you will too.
