There are basically five different ways that you can approach hair loss or balding hair.
One is to actually do absolutely nothing and embrace the baldness. Two is to do some form
of camouflage. You can camouflage the way you style your hair. Some man will cut their
hair very very short; women will change their style so that they can camouflage the loss
and some people even use some types of cover-up products they can be in the form of a powder
or spray and these can be quite effective. The third thing you can do is get a hair system
commonly known as a toupee for men or a wig for women. This can look okay, but it often
is cumbersome and gets in the way of your daily activities and people for the long run
don't necessarily like them and they can be extremely expensive for the maintenance period.
The fourth thing you can do is actually use a medical therapy. There are a couple of medicines
that are FDA approved; the topical preparation Minoxidal, more commonly known as Rogaine,
is very helpful and Propecia or Finasteride, which is an oral medication that only can
be used by men but that can be effective as well. The final thing and the only permanent
solution is hair transplant surgery. And hair transplant surgery for both men and women
is often the best solution.
