Barack's Big Abortion Bailout

I'm Michael Hichborn and this is the American Life League Report. Currently, all eyes appear to be on the potential rise of the Freedom of Choice Act, which we explained in our last report. But, just as a magician uses smoke and mirrors to divert the attention of the audience from what he is really doing, FOCA could very well provide the distraction the Culture of Death needs to quietly pass the lesser known Prevention First Act. What is the Prevention First Act? It is an underhanded measure aimed at funding contraception and abortion with tax-payer money in the name of preventing pregnancy. It also contains elements that could deny federal funding to some pro-life hospitals. But don’t let the name of the Act fool you. The Prevention First Act doesn’t prevent anything, and should be referred to as The Big Abortion Bail-out Act of 2009. Here’s how it works. Title Ten is a major source of income for Planned Parenthood, that provided about 25 percent of its total tax funding in 2008. Under the new abortion bail-out rules, Title Ten money to Planned Parenthood could jump from its current $75 million to $175 million. Right now, Title Ten is a program that has to be renewed every year. However the Big Abortion Bail-out Act would make Title Ten family planning a permanent program, funding it at $700 million more per year, which is more than double the $300 million it received last year. Now that’s just the money side of it. In addition to all this, the Act would also force health insurance programs that cover prescriptions to also cover abortifacient contraceptives. It also would create a government program for abortifacient emergency contraception and would deny federal funding to hospitals that do not provideemergency contraception to *** victims. Further, it would provide significant funding for comprehensive” sex education programs like those promoted by Planned Parenthood and specifically exclude abstinence-only programs from its budget. And for its next trick, the Big Abortion Bail-out Act would also permanently include family planning services as part of the Medicaid program. Here’s the secret, Planned Parenthood gets more money from Medicaid than it does from Title Ten. Barak Obama and his entourage are seeding the audience for acceptance of prevention-first by claiming to look for what they call “common ground” with the pro-life community. The common ground the Obama troop wants is compromise. So, some babies are worth saving, and others deserve to die. Let’s be perfectly clear, there is no common ground to be had when negotiating over whether someone should live or die. When King Solomon was approached by two women claiming to be the mother of the same baby, he ordered a guard to draw the sword and cut the baby in half, giving one half to each mother. Any compromise on this action still results in a dead baby! But the Culture of Death has no problem with compromise because it has everything to gain and nothing to lose. The Culture of Life on the other hand should it agree to compromise loses everything. Tell Obama that there is no common ground. Sign the petition to stop the Prevention First Act.
