#umk14 Discussion, Pt. 2 [madcraft Vlog]

What else...? - What else... - What's your favorite artist on UMK besides us? - Hukka ja Mama! - They're fun. They definitely have their own thing I think I'm gonna say MIAU That was before I saw any of the videos or anything I thought they had the cool Manowar hand sign And they had a pretty good thing going on A lot of the artists didn't really have that before UMK But MIAU definitely did - We've actually played a show with them a couple years ago - We've played them at Lohja For like two years ago They've gone forward since then Like us - Yep, we too - But... I think Dennis Fagerström was ok too It was maybe a bit too nice and smooth The song sounds a bit too much like adult pop But if they made it more like a pop punk song it would be pretty good - Yeah I thought so too! - Maybe we'll do a cover version of it later - Let me film Juho for a second - Juho, who was your favorite? - I think my favorite was Mikko Pohjola - What was his song..? - He was the one after us in the press event - Didn't he have that acoustic slow song? - I'm not sure about that - Oh yeah! He is a really nice guy - Yeah that's what I meant - I'm rooting for him because he's so sincere A warm-hearted person - I'm want to take a picture with him and us - The song itself might be too calm and slow though Of course there's been a lot of slow song in Eurovision in the past But the demo sounded really mellow I'm not sure if all the Lordi fans will vote for him - Do you think you're really competing to be on Eurovision? And the song has to be a good Eurovision song? - I don't know... People might not think about it that much in the qualifiers yet That it's just UMK and who just has a good song But when the final comes I think people will start to think about the Eurovision aspect more But we got a nice message from someone abroad I think he was from Turkey He said he liked our song And that he roots for us and wishes we'd go to Denmark Since there hasn't really been any good artists in the rock genre in recent years He likes Finnish rock music and he'd like to see a rock band in Eurovision So I guess that would be us or Softengine But we're of course better - I have to say Makea is my favorite - They we're interesting - They're my friends But hold on... I'm not talking sh*t here I was really positively surprised The song was honestly really good I can imagine hearing it on the radio on a daily basis Especially when they're combining modern pop with rap music The sound reminded me of artists like Adam Lambert But the rapper is really good - I thought the best thing about it was the rapper And I'm not saying the singer was bad But the rapper was really good The concept is definitely pretty cool But we'll have to see if the majority in Finland is ready for it The chorus was really classic pop and the verses we're almost like nu-metal style rap I don't know - Let's see It would be fun to hear a song in Finnish in Eurovision - It used to be so that you had to sing in the official language of your country And that's why Malta did so well because they have English as an official language
