By we are not here to lose faith. Many people do lose faith at this time and they go off
back to their former ways. We are not here to lose faith, we are here to realize that
the wonderful freedoms in Jesus Christ. His freedom amen. Today I want to talk about this
freedom. This freedom from sin and from the law. Many Christians at this time they feel
they need to follow the Torah to be saved and they struggled with many sins in their
live and many gilts and worried and so there's striving to try and keep the Torah hoping
that they won't be condemned because they don't keep the Sabbath or because they're
eating pork or they are not circumcised. Many kinds of problems like this. And there are
many teachers that have wormed their way into congregations who are teaching that you must
keep the Torah because Jesus said to and if you don't you'll be told by Jesus to go away
and you're a lawbreaker. And so we have had many Christians departing from the faith and
freedom in Jesus Christ at this time. And they do not understand what the gospel really
is the new covenant. There is a reason why it was called an old covenant and the new
covenant. Now the new covenant is the new Testament of Jesus Christ. And what was this
new covenant, this wonderful new gospel; it is follow me believe in me. Matthew 16:24:
if anyone would come after me let him deny himself take up his cross and follow me...
truly truly I say to you unless one is born again he cannot enter the kingdom of God.
That is the new covenant and the teachers of the law said to Jesus: how can this be
how can a man become born-again and enter his mothers womb. You see this teacher was
a teacher of the Law of Moses, Law Torah, the Mosaic law, 10 Commandments all those
things. And in those days that was the way under the old schoolmaster that we were to
be. And Jesus said he didn't say you got to strive to obey the 10 Commandments to have
eternal life. He said unless you are born again you cannot enter the kingdom of God.
And he said this; If any would come after me, follow me, deny yourself and follow me.
Jesus didn't say going keep the Torah and follow me. He said deny yourself and follow
me. So Jesus didn't teach using the law and he didn't punish using the law because there
was a woman who was brought to him in adultery and this woman was in sin and she should have
been punished by the law as it is written that the adulterer must be put to death by
the law from God's own mouth. And Jesus said to her: I do not condemn you, I do not. And
he said goes sin no more. Because you see a new covenant had come into the land and
he said to the people and to the woman at the well he said: the time has come and is
indeed here now that people will no longer have to worship me in the synagogue which
is under the law but they will worship in spirit and in truth and where people gather
in my name there I am also. So he is saying that we become the temple of God. This is
the new covenant. The new covenant of those return to the Lord. So we are not under the
law dear friends. Now I want to read what James says; for whoever keeps the whole law
but fails at one point becomes accountable for all of it... So when we try and keep the
whole law but we fail even at one point, then we are guilty of having broken the whole law.
And it says in the Ezekiel 18:20: he who sins must die, he who breaks the law must be put
to death. Now does this mean that the law is evil? No, Paul said the law was the old
schoolmaster and the law revealed God's righteousness. And so the righteousness of God was revealed
in the law, showing that he does not accept sin. The law says you shall not sin. You shall
not adulterate, you shall keep the Sabbath holy and all these things. Because the law
was there to keep people from doing what was evil in the sight of God like working their
slave seven days a week without a break and not giving them time to praise the Lord. That's
why he talked about the Sabbath. The law was there to keep people from being dishonest
and ripping off their fellow brother, neighbour. The law was there to keep people from being
gay and committing homosexuality and defining the land with sin. So the law was good but
the problem is the law arouses the evil desires inside and people are naturally rebellious
of heart and so they're not able to keep the law, keep the whole law. It reveals evil.
So the law itself is good but the law does not have the solution. It does not bring righteousness
it exposes righteousness and exposes sin but it doesn't change the heart and doesn't bring
righteousness. And that is why David broke the law, Abraham broke the law, they all broke
the law and they were not worthy to enter the kingdom of God. That is why we have the
new covenant and that is why Jesus died before the foundations of the world so the old patriarchs
who had the hope of Jesus afar off were waiting for him to deliver them in time in paradise
and take them to the kingdom as the Peter said; the Lord preached to those imprisoned
after he was crucified. But in Christ we are free from the law of death which says that;
you broke the law you must die there is no mercy. There was no mercy for anyone who broke
the law in Moses' day. There was somebody gathering wood on the Sabbath and the Lord
said: take that man and stone him to death no mercy at all, because the law was not here
to bring people to righteousness. It was here to show the righteousness of God and to show
the punishments and to set a standard. That is what the law was for. Now before the laws
given these things were still in people's hearts. Cain knew not to steal not to kill.
He knew it was wrong even before the law was given. And that's why the Lord said that sin
was at his door. And the sabbaths and the circumcisions and things like this, you know
these are also under the old law. And the problem is, is that people are following their
own flesh and that is why they will not enter the kingdom. I read you from one John 3:6:
nobody who abides in him keeps on sinning which is Jesus Christ, and those who keep
on sinning have neither seen him nor known him. So are talking about people under the
law cannot stop sinning because they don't know Jesus. They are under the law. They are
not free from the law of sin to death. Now on to talk about this freedom in Jesus Christ.
Freedom from the law and freedom from sin. Galatians 5:1: for freedom Christ has set
us free stand firm therefore do not submit again to the yoke of slavery.... Romans 8:5:
for those who live according to the flesh put their minds on the things of the flesh
and the things of the flesh is death. But those who live according to the Spirit, set
their minds on the things of the spirit. For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but
to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace. For the mind that is set on the flesh
is hostile to God and does not submit to God's law because it cannot. Those who are in the
flesh cannot please God. So when we're in the law friends trying to keep the Torah for
our salvation and striving after the Commandments, we are in the flesh. You can't please God.
And that's why we have to be put to death. We have to have the old man put to death and
have Christ's reign through us. Let us read on: however you are not in the flesh but in
the spirit if in fact the Spirit of God dwells in you. Anyone who does not have the Spirit
of Christ does not belong to him. But if Christ is in you although the body is dead because
of sin the Spirit is life because of righteousness the Spirit of him who raised Christ will also
raise you. Dear friends the law came to reveal sin but it doesn't save us. When Jesus said
to repent, he means to turn away from our desires which I read just previously. Turn
away from the flesh. He said that we're not justified through circumcision and festivals
and days. For as it is written in Ephesians 2:8: For by grace we are saved through faith
lest any should should boast for it is not works of the law that one is saved. And Galatians
5:16 reads: for I walk by the Spirit and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh
for the desires of the flesh wars against the spirit and are opposed to each other.
But if you are led by the Spirit you are not under the law. And what is the law for? The
law is for the flesh. It is not for the spirit. It is not for those who are born again. They
have died to themselves and that's why Paul said that it is no longer I who live but Christ
in me. He said can you build up the flesh again. That means you're going to build yourself
up under the law. He said that if you build up in the spirit and on the rock, you're in
the spirit and it is Christ living through you. And when Christ lives through you, you
are free from the law. Now these things are very important to understand because if we're
starting to think that out salvation depends on the keeping the law of Moses with all its
statutes then our salvation depends on that and Christ died in vain for us. Cause if we
are led by the spirit then we're not under the law, not under the law that leads to death.
Now I want to read from Galatians and let us expose these truths because many people
are so concerned about keeping sabbaths and all these things for salvation. They think
Jesus might tell him to go away because they eat pork or at things like this. For we are
not under the law, we are free in Christ. These teachers wormed their way into your
congregations trying to burden you with things from the law like the Jews did. Now I want
to read to you exactly how this happened in the days of the apostles. Galatians 1:1: I'm
so astonished that you so quickly deserting Jesus who called you in the grace of Christ,
and are turning to another gospel. After 14 years I Paul, went up to Jerusalem with Barnabas
taking Titus with me. I went up because of a revelation sent to them. The gospel that
I proclaim among the Gentiles, in order to make sure I was not running in vain. But even
Titus who was with me was not forced to be circumcised even though he was Greek. Yet
because of false brothers secretly brought in who slipped into spy out our freedom that
we have in Jesus Christ, so that they might bring us back into slavery. To them we did
not yield in submission even a moment so that the truth of the Gospel might be preserved.
And from those who seem to be influential, those I say who seem influential added nothing
to me. On the contrary they saw I had been entrusted with the Gospel to the uncircumcised.
So let's read on: but when Cephas came to Antioch I opposed him to his face because
he stood condemned; for before certain men came from James, he was eating with the Gentiles.
But when they came, the Jews, he drew back and separate himself fearing their circumcision
party. And the rest of the Jews acted hypocritically along with him so that even Barnabas was led
astray by their hypocrisy. But when I saw their conduct that was not in step with the
true gospel of Jesus Christ, I said to Cephas before them all: if you though a Jew living
like a Gentile under freedom, how can you force the Gentiles to be like Jews under the
law? We ourselves are Jews by birth and not Gentile sinners yet we know that a person
is not justified by works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ. Now works of the law
are all these days moons feasts circumcision all these things. We have believed in Jesus
Christ in order to be justified by faith in Jesus Christ not by works of the law because
by works of the law no one is justified. But in our endeavor to be justified in Christ
we too were found to be sinners. Is Christ then a servant of sin? Certainly not. For
if I rebuild what I tour down, I myself proved to be a transgressor for through the law I
died to the law that I might live to God so I have been crucified with Christ. It is no
longer I that live but it is Christ that lives in me. And the life that I now live in the
flesh I live by faith in the son of God who loved me and gave himself for me. I do not
nullify the grace of God. For if righteousness were through the law then Christ died in vain.
You know this is pretty serious stuff dear friends. We're talking about Cephas and all
these Jews coming from Jerusalem trying to bring the Gentiles under the law, when they
themselves didn't even keep the law because they weren't being circumcised. That was breaking
the law in those days. And that's why the Pharisees often kill them because they were
teaching against the teachings of the law like circumcision saying it was no longer
needed. And so that was blasphemous against God's law and they were being put to death
for this. And Paul said a bit later, he said if I preach circumcision I am not persecuted
but because I preach against it that's why I get persecuted. And all these Jews were
trying to bring them under the law and put them under the burden of the law. And that's
why Paul said he was standing condemned because you who have broken the law even one time
you are condemned. So if you go under the law again and forsake your freedom in Christ
and think that you got to be separate from the Gentiles because they are unclean and
we should keep away from them and we should be eating this way and not eating that way
and all these things, we're bringing ourselves under the law and into condemnation. Chapter
2: Oh foolish Galatians who has bewitched you. It was before your eyes that Jesus Christ
was publicly crucified. Let me ask you this; did you receive the spirit by works of the
law or by hearing of faith. You are so foolish, having begun by the Spirit are you now being
perfected by the flesh, the works of the flesh? Did you suffer so many things in vain? Does
he who supplies the spirit to you work miracles among you by works of the law? Or by hearing
of faith! Just as Abraham believed and it was given to him as righteousness. So blessed
are those who are men of faith. Now verse 10: For all who rely on works of the law are
under a curse. For it is written in cursed is everybody who doesn't abide by all things
written in the books of the Law and do them all. Now it is evident that no one is justified
before God by the law for the righteous shall live by faith. But the law is not faith rather
the one who does the law must live by it. Can you understand these things friends? It
is a very serious issue. We got so many Torah Christians in the world right now trying to
sneak in and bringing all their false teachings trying to bring us under the law. They are
trying to say we got to keep the Sabbath, you go to do this and that, you got to keep
all the commandments because Jesus said to, and you basically got to keep the Torah according
to them. And you know what they say? They add to the Torah and they change it for they
say Jesus forgives us if we break the Torah but we still got to keep it. Somehow we break
the Torah and Jesus forgives us but we still got to keep the Torah for salvation. Isn't
that messed up. Its a doctrine of devils, it is not a gospel that saves. The gospel
that saves is faith alone in Jesus Christ. And it is through faith that we are justified
if you indeed believe. And he will change you live not through the flesh. Because if
we live to the flesh we are under the law. But if we have Christ living through us, we
are not under the law because those who are led by the spirit they are not under the law.
Now let us read on: now before FAITH came, that is Jesus Christ, we were held in captive
under the law imprisoned until the coming of faith would be revealed that is the son
of man, until Christ came. Verse 25: in order that we might be justified by faith. But now
that faith has come you're no longer under the Guardian which is the law. For in Christ
you are sons of God through faith for as many of you were baptized into Christ you put on
Christ there is neither Jew nor Greek. That means there is no clean person and unclean
person. That means that you don't have to separately eat from the Gentiles because you're
a Jew. If you do you stand condemned like Cephas. He was doing that with Peter and Paul
rebuked them to their faces because even though they weren't following the law themselves,
they were free and they weren't following the law of the Jews, they were actually suddenly
going into hypocrisy and quickly separating themselves from the unclean people and pretending
that they're under the law still just because all these influential Jews came from Jerusalem
trying to bring everybody under the law again. Under the old covenant under the old master.
But there is neither Jew nor Greek nor slave nor free nor male or female for you are all
one in Jesus Christ. That means you can't say to a woman you know don't go and preach
because you are female. Because there is neither male nor female for all are one in Jesus Christ.
What are we going to go under the law dear friends. Do you realize that Christ is of
no benefit to you whatsoever if you go back under the law? Your faith is in vain if you
do that. It proves that you don't have faith in Jesus Christ and you just content to strive
to keep the law and in your own flesh you will be condemned. That is what Paul said;
Oh foolish Galatians who has bewitched. How far you have fallen. Has my labor been with
you in vain. Chapter 4: but now that you have come to know God or rather be known by God
how can you turn back to the weak and worthless elementary principles of the world whose slaves
you want to be once more. You observe days months seasons and years, I'm afraid that
I have labored with you in vain. They are observing days, under the law. They are observing
months and seasons as Gentiles. They were never Jews to begin with. Why are you Gentiles
people listening to me right now could be one of these people. You're probably trying
to observe all these days even though you rant a jew anyway. Why are you going back
under the law? Paul says have I labored with you in vain? In other words you're not on
your way to salvation you're on your way to condemnation under the law. Tell me says Paul,
you who desire to be under the law do you not listen to the law? For it is written that
Abraham had two sons. One is free woman one is a slave woman. The son of the slave was
born according to the flesh while the son of the free was born through the promise.
So what do the Scriptures say? Cast out the slave woman and her son for the son of a slave
will not inherit with the son of the free. So you people following the law you do not
inherit the kingdom with those who are free by Christ. Let us read it again; the Scriptures
say cast out the slave woman those who are under the law for the son of a slave woman
will not inherit with the son of the free woman. Can you understand this? So brothers
we are not children of the slave but of the free. Now who's the children of the slave
Paul is talking about? Those who are under the law observing the Sabbath and observing
the months and the festivals of the years and the circumcision and as it is written
earlier that if you keep one point of the law you must keep it all. So when people are
doing all these things and teaching them as a way to be saved and you think that you're
going to be condemned if you don't, you're going under the law. And that's why Paul said:
Foolish Galatians who has bewitched you when you were in the freedom of faith and now you're
following the Jews and listening to all these false teachers worming into your congregations
in saying that no dear friends, you have to be circumcised you have to keep these days
you have to keep these months you have to keep the festivals. Putting all these burdens
of the law on you, Chapter 5, I hope I have made my point: for freedom Christ has set
us free. Stand firm and do not submit again to yoke of slavery. Slavery to the law. I
Paul tell you this; if you accept circumcision Christ will be of no advantage to you whatsoever.
I testify again to every man who accepts circumcision that he is obligated to keep the whole law.
And that goes for the other parts of the law too dear friends. Think about it; Christ is
of no benefit to you whatsoever if you try and be justified by the law or by the 10 Commandments
to be saved. And you think that that's what you got to do. If you think you got to go
under the Jewish law, the law given to Moses, then Christ is of no benefit to you whatsoever.
And you are the slave to the law and you will not inherit with the son of the free woman;
faith in Jesus Christ. Now it gets worse. Paul goes on to say: you are severed from
Christ you who would be justified by the law. You have fallen away from grace for through
the spirit by faith we ourselves eagerly wait for the hope of righteousness for in Christ
neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything but only faith working through
love. You were running well who hindered you from obeying the truth. This persuasion is
not from him who calls, a little leaven leavened the whole lump. I have confidence in the Lord
that you will no longer take other views and the one who is troubling you with these things
will bear the penalty whoever he is. But if I should still teach circumcision why am I
being persecuted? In that case the offense of the cross has been removed! That's what
Paul is saying if you teach the law you're removing the cross. So the cross is offensive
to people who don't want to hear about the truth. So if you're thinking not to commit
adultery, not to commit *** or not condone a lie, not to steal, got to keep the sabbath,
got to be circumcised, I can't do this I can't do that all the things that are abominations
and all these things, I'll be put to death if I break even one, you know if that's the
way you think and you're going to strive to please God through the flesh, you are in for
a big surprise because one: you will not be up to do it. Because by the flesh we do not
have the power to make ourselves holy. Our flesh is evil, evil. You cannot make yourself
holy and trying to turn away your flesh, if you fight your flesh with your flesh. That
is what the law does. The law is not evil, the law simply exposes our evil and it shows
how we are evil. But the law does not bring righteousness. In other words you cannot be
justified before God by trying to keep the Torah. If you do Christ Jesus has no part
with you. You do not have faith. Let us read on; but I say walk by the Spirit. That is
walk with Jesus Christ and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. For the desires
of the flesh are against the spirit and the Spirit against the flesh. For they oppose
each other but if you're led by the Spirit you are not under the law. Now the works of
the flesh are evident: *** immorality impurities sensuality idolatry sorcery jealousy fits
of anger drunkenness *** and the like. I warn you as I've warned before that those
who do these things won't inherit the kingdom. But the fruit of the Spirit is love joy peace
patience kindness goodness faithfulness gentleness self-control against such there is no law.
And those who belong to Christ have crucified the flesh and its passions for remember it
is no longer I who lives but it is Christ who lives in me. So dear friends if Christ
does indeed live in you, you are not under the law because Christ is living in you have
died. You put the flesh to death daily and you don't follow it. Now if you follow the
flesh of course you're going to go under the law. The law states those who break it will
die. But if we're living in Christ then we live in the spirit and he lives in us if indeed
you have been changed by Christ and it comes through faith. Faith in the promise. If we
live by the Spirit let us keep in step with the Spirit let us not become conceited and
provoking one another to envy. And he says those who belong to Christ have crucified
their passions and desires. Now this comes through the power of Jesus Christ dear friends.
So I want to warn you again like I warned you before in the reading from Galatians;
that if you are foolish enough to go back under the law, then Christ has no benefit
to you whatsoever, and your strivings to keep the law by your own righteousness and your
own flesh is not enough. It will not please God. Because you don't have enough righteousness
to be able to keep these things properly. And that is why I say I warn you against all
these false preachers, all these false prophets that have these visions and they say that
you got to keep the Sabbath, you got to be like the Seventh-day Adventists, and you've
got to do this and that. You know it is all striving in the flesh. But if you haven't
been transformed by faith in Jesus Christ then you can't keep the righteous ways of
God anyway. And if you're trying to strive in the flesh to make yourself righteous then
Jesus has no benefit to you whatsoever and you'll be condemned by the law because as
it is written if you try to keep one point of the law, your obligated to keep all of
it. If you break one point it says in the Scriptures then you are responsible for all
of it. For whoever keeps the whole law but fails at one point will be held accountable
for ALL the law. All the law. Every single tittle. That is why Jesus said that not one
jot or tittle will pass from the law until all things have been fulfilled. And what did
Jesus say on the cross? He said it is finished it is done so Christ fulfilled the Law on
the cross and it is through the cross that we are justified. If there is no cross there
is no Gospel dear friend and you're still under the law. How much more can I forcefully
say this but if you try and justify yourself by keeping Sabbaths, you have fallen from
the truth. If you think that that's the way to save yourself because of the false teachers
and the false preachers and you're worried about going to hell just because you don't
do the laws like it says in the book of Deuteronomy and Leviticus and Exodus. If you think that
you're not doing it good enough like that then you have fallen. You don't have faith
in Jesus. The cross is of no benefit to you whatsoever. That's why we are here to come
to Jesus and his freedom hallelujah. His freedom. And those people they say you got to tithe
and you got to do this and that, they are all liars dear friends. What did Jesus say?
He said follow me. And when we follow Jesus then we would do the righteous works of God.
If Jesus lived through you then you are going to be able to do righteousness. And what about
tithing? That's another part of the law. That's why the churches say to give 10% because they
try to bring everybody back under the law. Christ is of no benefit to them anymore. They
don't have faith in the cross because a real Christian does what Paul said: he said (I'm
paraphrasing) I want you to give out of your heart of love. And he said those who have
a little can give as much as they can and those have a lot to give as much as they can,
so that those who have nothing might have provision and have equalness in the brethren
so that those who have an easy time they can help those who might have a hard time. Love.
We are not talking about hey you must give 10% of your income otherwise you are condemned.
That's what the false teachers say. And I've heard them say from the pulpit that if you
don't do that you are condemned. You know why because they're under the law. They are
trying to make Christians go under the law of Moses. The cross is of no benefit to them
whatsoever. They will not be covered by the cross on the last day because they are under
the law. They trying to be justified before God by their Sabbath keeping by the torah
by their tithing, by their striving to not do all these things. Jesus is of no benefit
for them whatsoever. And it is very sad. We are reading from Galatians: For through the
law I have died to the law so that I might live to God. I have been crucified with Christ.
It is no longer I who live but Christ who lives through me. Does Christ live through
you today? If he does not then you're just living and swearing and cursing and living
the world and doing what is evil and following your flesh..... then you need to go to Jesus
Christ and have him live through you and die to the flesh. Because the flesh is under the
law but the spirit is not. When you live in the flesh you are under the law you are condemned.
The law will condemn you. Go live in the flesh you go under the law understand? It is those
who have faith in Jesus in the cross who are set free. And that's why Paul, Peter and all
the apostles they made a stipulation and they said that they will lay no other burden on
the Gentile Christians about the law or anything like this. They said we not lay no burden
on you other than do not eat food sacrificed to idols and keep away from *** immorality.
Stay in your freedom in Christ. And that's why Paul said: oh foolish Galatians who has
bewitched you I fear that my labors with you have been in vain because now you're trying
to justify yourself by works of the law and so that Christ is no benefit to you! For do
you not know that those who rely on works of the law are under a curse? For it is written
cursed is everybody who does not abide by ALL things written under the law. It didn't
say 2 things. Now these Torah Christians will say: Ah it is just the 10 Commandments, we
are only supposed to keep the 10 Commandments all the rest doesn't matter. That is not even
written. They are just making their own laws now. They add to the law and take away from
it. And so they're adding to the law. So let us see what is written verse 10 Galatians
Chapter 3: for all who rely works of the law are under a curse. Cursed is everybody who
does not abide by all the things written in the books of the law. Now the books of the
law are Exodus Leviticus and Deuteronomy and there are many things there. You can't just
keep three. You can't just keep 10. the 10 commandments they say, we are just going to
keep those and God is going to be happy with me. I've heard unbelievers come to me and
say as long as I keep the 10 Commandments I suppose God will be happy with me. No he
will not be happy with you because you do not have faith in Jesus his one and only son.
Jesus said you cannot enter the kingdom unless you're born again. He didn't say unless you
keep the law. Oh dear Christians I wonder, says Paul, if my labor has been in vain for
you because you're trying to go back under the law to justify yourselves. It says as
many of you who have been baptised with Christ you have put on Christ. It says you are no
longer Jew nor Greek nor slave nor male or female. We are one under Jesus Christ. You
know I'm bringing this meeting to you because I want to stress this important point; that
the way to salvation is THE CROSS. It is not by trying to keep the 10 Commandments as best
you can. Oh I've broken the 5th commandment. I've broken the second commandment I've broken
the ninth commandment, I lied or I broke the Sabbath or don't love God enough nor my neighbour......
FRIENDS!! you can try all you like to try and not do these things but I tell you truly
that Jesus said that even if you look at someone in *** you have broken the adultery command.
You broke the Sabbath commandment if you sin even once because the Lord is holy and he
said to keep those days holy. So friends we have to be in the freedom of Christ. Now does
that mean that we have the other extreme of all the Christians running around and saying
that we will all still sin and they just live after the world? They spend their Sabbath
chasing money and sinning and watching sports on TV and saying; I'm free I'm free I can
do all these things... No you are not. Thats being under the law. It is living after the
flesh. But Paul said that the flesh had been put to death in him. He said he's been crucified.
The flesh has been crucified. So I tell you who's just sitting around watching the telly
and living in your sin and drinking beer and saying Jesus saves you and you are under grace,
I tell you this; you are not crucified... you have got the flesh living through you.
Following the flesh. Doesn't it say that those who follow the flesh will die? No dear friends
we who have been baptized in Christ we are free to follow Christ. And you know what a
person who follows Christ does? He has his whole mind focused on Christ. He lives Christ
daily. He isn't continuing his sins. He allows Christ to live through him. He lives holy.
He does what Jesus says. He follows Jesus. He no longer follows his dreams. He is no
longer follows the addictions. He no longer follows his sins and his desires because that's
what we tried to follow when we were under the law in our desires. Do not realize that
when you follow the desires of the flesh you will die? That's why we have to turn to Christ
and become free. That's why Christ has the power to set you free from your desires. I
am not saying you will never be tempted. I am saying that when we follow Christ we put
to death the flesh and daily and we live after the spirit and the freedom of the spirit.
And it is Christ living through us. That's why you don't sin anymore when you come to
Jesus Christ. It is because he sets you free from the flesh. He sets you free from the
desires of the flesh and the ways of the flesh. Is not that wonderful dear friends. So let
us not go back under the law lest we be condemned. But let us instead put to death the ways of
the flesh and let Christ reign in us and let us be baptised in Christ. It says clearly
Gal 3:27; for as many of you who were baptized into Christ, have put on Christ. There is
no longer Jew nor Greek but we all one in Christ. That is the secret. The secret is
faith in the cross. Faith in Jesus Christ, and you will be set free to no longer follow
the flesh but crucify the flesh and to follow Jesus Christ in freedom from the law. And
you're not going to be following the flesh anymore and all its desires, but you're going
to spend your days like Jesus was on the Sabbath walking around doing good. That's what Jesus
did on the Sabbath dear friends. He walked around and he did good. And that's why the
Pharisees ended up killing him because they said that he broke the Sabbath, because on
the Sabbath he was doing what the law said not to do. The law said don't go out on the
Sabbath stay in your place and be quiet and just worship God. And Jesus broke that, he
went around preaching and healing people and the Pharisees were so mad because they were
following the law like hypocrites because they don't even keep the heart of the law
anyway. And they are condemning by the letter of the law. That's why they wanted to condemn
that adulterous woman who broke the commandment to not commit adultery and the Leviticus says
that she must be put to death by the law. God said that so the Pharisees all in their
hypocrisy who themselves are full of sin, were trying to put to death this woman and
Jesus said to them, he who is without this sin cast the first stone. And all convicted
because they knew they had done this adultery too. And they realize that hey they should
be put to death as well. And that's why they walked away because they couldn't bring themselves
before Jesus Christ to stone this woman when they themselves were adulterers. And that
is why friends Jesus said to the woman; I forgive you I don't condemn you, go sin no
more. Because Jesus is saying I give you a NEW WAY. I give you the cross. If you believe
in me you will never die you will be forgiven. You will have a new way come in your heart.
You no longer commit adultery. I will change you says Jesus only COME TO ME. And that's
the gospel dear friends. So I just hope you have not walked away from the gospel of the
cross back to keeping the law. I hope you don't try and keep sabbaths and all these
things to try and save yourself because in that case Jesus is of no benefit to you whatsoever
and you're just going back under the law that says he who breaks even one is responsible
for ALL the law. Dear friends I hope you have not believed in vain....
