A result of a rampant epidemic affecting many families
in Rotorua and throughout NZ.
Jackie has been running her business
for five years specialising in getting rid of the critters.
However, due to huge demand she has decided to run
the Crazzy Critters Mobile Headlice Service.
Jackie says some families are so overwhelmed
that parents have turned to using
dangerous cleaning agents and kerosene
to try to eradicate the pests.
Pharmacies also stock headlice lotions, however...
Outbreaks of headlice is a problem in some schools.
Some believe there needs to be more information made available.
However, others believe
it's up to communities themselves to remain vigilant.
