Rahul Easwar..
we hear from the former
DGP of Uttar Pradesh
saying really best practices..
Isn’t the best practices
really mean..
that there should have been
a lot more police out
on the streets that day?
We have around 1300 policemen..
One..
But it was you know
proved that it was
not adequate enough..
One sad thing about..
I don’t know about
other temples in Kerala..
Especially temples in Kerala is..
High level of political
interference in many things.
Temples don’t have a
free run on things..
Temple management cannot
take independent action..
It is heavily..er..
interfered by politicians
and you know..
many government run sectors..
Even the high court today..
categorically said..
Many departments of
government lacks coordination..
thats one of the reasons for it..
Kerala high court has
pointed out..
today very critically..
So as the earlier person
rightly put it out..
Scientific crowd management
is an art and science in itself..
Sadly many things
are not in place..
And..er..I..
I believe temples should
have a comparatively more
free run on things so that..
temple itself can take care
of all these situations with
the help of the government..
not the other way around..
Right..
Rahul..one of the things
people outside of Kerala
or people outside of
South India haven’t
really understood is..
why there was such a
large congregation of people..
in a hill which was
about 40km away from
the Sabarimala shrine..
And also the difference
between Makara Vilakku
and Makara Jyothi..
What was it that people
who are actually
trying to see there?
And..and does it come
to the ambient of how
Sabarimala is run and
how you handle devotees?
Does this place also
come into that jurisdiction..
I’m very happy that
you asked that question..
Some of the
North Indian media,
channels and news papers
have been vehement
and carrying out a
smear campaign against
Sabarimala saying about
Makara Jyothi and so called haux..
I am very thankful
coz you asked..
CNN-IBN was
sensitive enough..
Let me take just 20 seconds..
To explain this..
All religions has
there own symbolic aspects..
All poetic expressions..
I am a proud secular Indian..
I respect all religions..
Just like *** Mary
and the divine birth
of Jesus Christ
is a poetic expression..
Just like Prophet Mohammed's
marriage with a
9 year old child Aysha..
is a poetic expression..
Makara vilakku,
Makara Jyothi
is a poetic expression..
If you take the context out..
Many things doesn’t
seem to fit in place..
So Makara Jyothi
is the celestial star..
And Makara Jyothi
is the symbolic deeparadhana
that is being done..
Many people..
without knowing this
has taken a smear campaign..
Thats the reason
why I said I am a person
who accepts
all religion is true..
It is the same as
*** Mary’s divine
birth of Jesus Christ or
Mohammed Aysha’s marriage..
These are all poetic expressions..
In the same way..
Makara vilakuu,
Makara Jyothi is
also a poetic expression..
Alright and amongst
all the poetic and
celestial beliefs..
Rahul Easwar you
also spoke about..er..
scientific method..er..
Quickly..
Just wanted to ask you..
ISRO has offered help
saying that next year
they are willing to give..er..
images..of the Sabarimala
and how the crowd..
management is being done..
Is that something..er..
you are willing to take up?
Definitely..
We are very thankful for
ISRO for that suggestion..
And on 31st..
We are having a meeting..
Tantri family..
Tantri devasom board and all..
And I would like to
say one suggestion
we are going to
put forth in 31st..
Even four days before..
We are thinking of..
We are thinking of..
Planning to extend the
season for 10 more days..
Right now the temple
closes on January 20th..
We are planning and
we would like to have a
wide range consultation
of making it January 30th..
So that the density
will be spreaded
across 10 more days..
It will be better
helpful for police..
and other things..
And..other institutions in
scientific crowd management..
