Downloading main dependencies (I apologise for the huge wait for the transcript)
The next thing you need to download are main dependencies
So dependencies that are appearing in your OpenBVE directory
And it would normally consist of Dynamic Link Library files, In short, DLL files.
So if you head over to the OpenBVE setup page,
And then download OpenAL for sound support
And as normal, the webpage will have a direct download link for you,
Go ahead and download it. I'll put it on my desktop in my preference
And then, open it up with your zip compression program.
And then click on the setup application,
Click OK twice
And close your ZIP compression program
then you go to your C drive, click on Windows
And then when you click Windows, it might say hidden files or hidden contents, or whatever it says,
just click on the link below it, and you'll appear to have this page here.
Go to your system32 directory ("SysWOW64" on 64-bit users)
..and while I wait for it to open up, you'll need to find OpenAL32.dll and wrap_oal.dll file.
So it's loaded up now, and then if you bear one sec for me to find mine
OpenAl32.dll file, copy that..
Go to your OpenBVE directory
Here we are, and copy and paste it here.
And the next thing is wrap_oal.dll, so go ahead and search for that
Just bear me a sec or one moment
Here we go, this wrap_oal.dll file, so go ahead and copy that one
..and copy and paste it here.
The last thing you need to download is the Tao Framework
..and it says here: "It should be noted that newer versions of Tao are backward incompatible and cannot be used with openBVE"
So basically you shouldn't download the latest version of the Tao framework
..and you should only download v2.1.0
But besides, the OpenBVE setup page has already provided that specific link to the download page for 2.1.0
So ahead and click it
A pop up window will appear
..and then save it onto your desktop
as I have already done so, so I don't need to
and then open up the Tao Framework zip file with your Zip compression program
and then go to the "Bin" subfolder
then copy Tao.OpenAl.dll, Tao.OpenGl.dll, and Tao.Sdl.dll file
Drag it to your OpenBVE directory
There we are...
..and finally, from the Lib subfolder
you copy the SDL.dll file, and drag it to your OpenBVE directory
and that should be everything in there.
and that should be everything in there.
Data folder, Settings folder, AtsPluginProxy.dll, OpenBVE.exe, Readme.txt, OpenAl32.dll, wrap_oal.dll, Tao.OpenAL.dll, Tao.OpenGL.dll, Tao.sdl.dll, and SDL.dll
so that should be everything in there, and go ahead and start the program
..and there you have it, your OpenBVE application up and running.
Thanks for watching, and please subscribe, comment and rate. Thank you.
