It sounded too good to be true.
They were my initial thoughts, but I soon realized that that wasn't the case.
My partner's not into sales, and she finds it a very good business that you can do.
It's just talking to people, recommending people to save money.
Will I be able to do this?
Have I got time to do this?
I work full time.
I thought, "Hang on a minute, what do I actually do on my days off?
I work shifts, I can actually do this."
The course was really good, and the course opened my eyes to the simplicity that if you
follow a script and follow a process, a proven process over a number of years, it works.
The key was not to reinvent the wheel.
The key was just to do what was said on the tin.
That is the great part of the job.
I've met people in this business that are amazing.
I met a young gentleman just recently, he's in a wheelchair.
He has to use a computer to communicate.
Then I was told he's got 12 customers.
Can anybody do it?
Yeah, absolutely, they can.
I've got other friends that are in network marketing that have to buy a hell of a lot of
produce and products, pay for the training they go to.
Everything has to be restocked.
What I was amazed with the company is they give you everything you need, absolutely
everything you need to go and present.
Then, when you've gone and signed a customer up, the literature that you provide them
with, they replenish.
I've been doing it for about 18 months now.
You have an opportunity to qualify to get a company Mini, which has been our main target.
This month, we will be on target, and we will qualify for our Mini, so we're really
chuffed about that.
I'm really pleased with where I'm going.
I've reached the point now that I work when I want to, rather than when I have to.
It supplements my pension.
It means the part-time job, which is just job, is I'm soon going to be able to give it
up.
Initially, it was getting out of the current job that I'm in, a way of maybe achieving
some of the things that I knew I wasn't going to achieve from my job, and being able to
do things more with my children.
I'd always wanted to do something for myself.
I'd looked at other businesses in the past.
It's something that was in me that I always wanted to do, but I felt it was a good
vehicle, it was actually going to give me what I wanted.
Whereas other businesses I've looked at, you could put a lot of time and effort into it
and not really get the same rewards.
I wanted financial security for the future, and I don't want to think about having to
scrape and scrimp for money.
I don't want another job in another organization.
I want to be my own boss, but I want that financial security.
This is what's going to give it to me.
There's people who say "Oh, I can't do that.
I haven't got enough time.
It won't work." My suggestion is give it a try, because what if it does?
