Hi this is Stew for GIGABYTE
I'd like to show you our brand new 3D BIOS Technology
This new 3D BIOS Technology is based on our new UEFI BIOS implementation
The basic idea is make BIOS far more graphical, far more intuitive,
and easier to acces for entry-level and mainstream users than ever before
And here we are inside the new GIGABYTE UEFI BIOS
which has two modes, Advanced mode and 3D BIOS Mode
and I'm just using my mouse to navigate through the graphical GUI
I'm just highlighting these icons
right now we're looking system and as you can see,
the board we're using in this case is the X79-UD5 board
The Advanced Mode is pretty similar to you would be used to
with our traditional signature GIGABYTE BIOS
and of course power users probably prefer, as will Overclockers
to use the traditional keyboard to navigate their way around the BIOS
but of course, 3D BIOS..clicking here you are taken to the new
graphical interface which is 3D BIOS
The first thing you'll see is the board,
Here we have the GIGABYTE X79-UD5 board
depending on which board you're using the image here will change accordingly
as you can see, when I highlight over different sections of the motherboard
we're given some informatin that tells us exactly what kind of settings we can change
So if for example I go here and I highlight Drive Control Features
If I click on that you can see that I have the SATA controller
and in my onchip SATA controller I can set it by IDE, AHCI or RAID
Just as you would normally in BIOS
If I highlight here, this is system tuning
You can see there are lots and lots of settings here
Also here in the bottom panel
you'll notice some brief descriptions come up,
to help you understand what it is that you're looking at
If we go here to 3D Power, you can see there are lots of settings within here
That help you to configure how the power is delivered to your CPU
We've also got integrated device control, and settings for the BIOS itself
An another interesting feature, here in the corner
if you click the 3D BIOS icon, you can see that
you're then shown the CPU frequency, the BCLK frequency
and also the memory frequency
and if you want a different view of the board
You can simply click little icon here in the corner
and you'll see the board from the reverse angle
Of course if at any moment you want to go back into the Adavnced Mode
Click here... and straight away you're taken into Advanced Mode menu
Ok..that's GIGABYTE's new UEFI and 3D BIOS
