Welcome to this instructional video entitled
"Preparing to Use the Field Experience Function in Tk20".
This tutorial is the second in a series for college personnel
that cover the steps involved in using the field experience function.
Before viewing this tutorial
you should have watched the instructional video entitled
"Introduction to the Field Experience Function in Tk20".
Before placing a student at an off-campus clinical site,
there are several things that you, as the primary instructor, must do to prepare.
Step one is to create a list of all off-campus clinical sites and personnel
that will be working with the college.
The list should include names and addresses of all off campus sites;
and names and contact information of all personnel,
as well as the site each is associated with.
This information must be uploaded into The Tk20 database.
Next, contact the Tri-C Department of Learning Outcomes Assessment
or a campus learning outcomes assessment coach
for assistance uploading and configuring this data.
At this point you should gather each of the assignments
and other work that the students will need to complete.
Then gather each of the forms that will be used by instructors at the college
and clinical site to evaluate and document student work.
Finally contact the Tri-C Department of Learning Outcomes Assessment
or a campus learning outcomes assessment coach
for assistance recreating these forms in Tk20.
Once each of these steps is complete you are ready to view the tutorial entitled
"Placing a Student at an Off-Campus Clinical Site in Tk20".
