▶why Has My Twitch Channel Been Left to Rot?...◀

Tally ho ladies and gents JimboMantis here, welcome back to the channel where today I'm gonna be talking a little bit about the state of my Twitch channel....... would help if I could say Twitch properly. Twitch, Twitch, Twi-t-ch ooh. So for those of you who don't know what my Twitch channel is let's go over a little bit of the well I say the history of the channel why not. So then I started my twitch channel ages ago and I started by basically recording pre-recorded streams effectively. So what that meant is that I would record the stream, it was completely and utterly unedited whatever happened in it happened and I put the stream intro and the stream outro at the end of it so basically it was like you were watching a pre..... like you were watching a stream, you know it was like you're watching the stream only it wasn't live. That was kind of the whole thing I was going for and that seemed to.... you know that got a little bit of traction it got a little bit of traction and then I.... about a couple months ago I started doing proper, well I say proper but you know kind of rudimentary live streams you know I started to....... it was a live stream it was basically just the game and my voice it was the game and commentary but it was only a fraction of the setup that I actually wanted to use because I just didn't have the equipment for the rest of it and didn't really have a system that could handle the rest of it. So I started doing that a couple of months ago and while it was it was fun for the first couple of weeks I burned.... I seemed to burn out very quickly on that and recently I have just been not so you know not so enthused by it. I really haven't been feeling the streaming in you know streaming in recent months I just haven't wanted to stream for a while now and I think I've slowly dawned on the realisation that live streaming really isn't my isn't my Jam so to speak it's more my Marmite instead. I either love it or I hate it. I either want to do it or I don't and when I don't want to do it I really don't want to do it and when I do want to do it I really want to do it, but right now I have a lot of streaming anxiety right now. It's just I have far too much anxiety for a live environment because I...... you have to concentrate on so many different things when you're streaming you have to concentrate on what's my connection like, is my stream you know streaming at a constant bitrate, am i dropping frames, is my audio loud enough and when you're just starting it's really hard to do the audio because nobody's watching so it's really really hard to do so you have to think well hang on a minute is the audio correct is the audio actually in sync with the video you know is the video quality good enough that it's actually going to be acceptable to viewers and it's just that all of that stuff I just.... I can't think about it with so much.... I have so much anxiety about it it just attracted from the overall entertainment of it and there's also.... then there's also then the viewer interaction you know the the well I say fan interaction I don't really have any fans at the moment but it's you know the viewer interaction you know the live viewer interaction it's just like how the hell do I concentrate on that and stream and make it entertaining at the same time on top of trying it you know worrying about all of that stuff you know all of the other stuff it just.... it just caused me so much anxiety that it just.... I have too much anxiety for a live environment and that slowly dawned on me over the last couple of weeks. So I have some plans for the channel going forward and hopefully you'll like them, so what I'm gonna do is instead of doing live streams I'm gonna go back to doing pre-recorded videos but they're not just gonna be like completely unedited stuff like live stream but not live kind of things these are gonna like be proper you know proper edited videos with production value but they're gonna be about hour hour and a half so about roundabout the length of a very short stream nowadays, because because that's what I think is my strength of that plays to my strength is pre-recorded stuff plus the fact that I have some really really cool stuff in the pipeline with regards to face cam I have some really cool stuff in the pipeline that I really think you're going to enjoy. So so what kind of videos am I going to do then well what I want to try and do is I want to try experimenting with let's play walkthrough hybrids so normally you've got walkthroughs which are generally very clinical and informational and educational who you know to to some degree you know it basically says right go here do this you know this is exactly where this is you know these are exactly where all the collectables are and everything and just go there and do it. It just gives you the information basically and then you've got. On the flip side of that almost you've got Let's Plays which you could potentially use them as a walkthrough but they're not really intended for it they're just intended as pure entertainment. You know the player will play through it however the hell they want to play through it and all of its done just for people's entertainment, but what I want to try and do is I want the kind of foster in a bit of a hybrid of that so I want to produce walkthroughs of games starting with the Assassin's Creed series but I want to do the walkthroughs in the style of an entertainment focused let's play which to be honest with you may have been done before you know I actually don't know I haven't really researched it but it's something I want to try and do you know it's it's it's informational and educational but it's done in a very well hopefully a very entertaining way and as I say it's gonna have all of like the production value and everything like that so, well I say production value I use the term loosely you know none not many of my videos have production value but it's gonna be something along those lines and I hope that you're gonna enjoy them because I have a sneaking suspicion I'm gonna enjoy making them. So yeah, it should be pretty good now when is this new content actually gonna start going on the channel? Well recently I've been releasing some of my older stuff that was like which was originally on my youtube channel, you know the NoxxDog YouTube channel which is now JimboMantis Livestream archive which is going to be going away eventually because like I said I'm uploading a lot of the older content from that YouTube channel on to my Twitch channel as like uploads so for the face cam stuff that I want to do and I'm gonna need new equipment that I'm only gonna be able to afford around about September October time so that's roughly when the the content will, you know the new type of content will be going on for the channel now what's going to be going on in the meantime well as I say I'm gonna be releasing new you know the the older content from the NoxxDog YouTube channel onto the Twitch channel but I'm also going to be trying to complete the Deus Ex and Raven Remastered Let's Plays that I've been carrying on through livestream form. I will try and get at least those done and then what we'll do is we'll move on to the new content once those are done. I haven't really got that far left to go in in those Let's Plays so although the Deus Ex one may take a little bit of time but i think you know i think it's gonna be it should be fun hopefully. But yeah that's pretty much what I'm doing with my Twitch channel and I really really hope you guys enjoy the new stuff that's gonna be going up on it.
