Wednesday, the speed bump in the middle of the week. Wouldn't we all just be a little
better off without it? I certainly would. But alas, there's no way around it, and there's
no way around you listening to me spoon feed you today's MMO news. On today's episode we
have Warframe, EverQuest II, Destiny and SMITE. The founders program for Warframe is coming
to a close as Digital Extremes announces the end date on November first. Warframe has attracted
over 4 million players since its beta launch and quite a few of you have taken advantage
of the founders program which can run up to $250. The developers thank everyone for their
support and are excited about bringing their third person shooter to playstation 4 in the
coming months.
Yesterday SOE let everyone know about the Heroic characters being introduced to EverQuest
II. Basically the heroic character system allows all players, old and new, to create
a level 85 heroic character. The idea behind the program is to let players experience high
end content without having to grind it out from level 1. At first thought I thought it
was a *** idea, but it does seem to be a great idea for players who want to get into
the game, but can't imagine how they'll catch up on 9 years of play-time.
A few days ago rumors surfaced that suggested Bungie will be granting access to the closed
beta event for those who pre-order their next-gen MMOFPS Destiny. Those rumors have been confirmed
as several retailers updated their websites to feature such an offer. Current big box
retailers like Amazon, GAME and Walmart are taking part in the festivities.
And lastly Hi-Rez Studios released the latest patch notes in their hit MOBA SMITE. The mercury
patch includes the introduction of Mercury, the fastest god alive, as well as the usual
fixes and adjustments to various items and struggling Gods. The new god Mercury appears
to be based around movement and attack speed, with many of his abilities taking advantage
of both stats. There have been issues though with the new patch, including voice packs
being disabled due to corrupted data. If you're having issues, head over to Hi-Rez's forums
to voice your concerns. Oh wait, you can't .. they trashed those.
Today's keyword is warframe. Head over to MMO Attack.com, log in to your account and
