Okay folks, in this clip I'm going to teach you how to draw trunks, which are also obviously
summer clothes but something specifically designed for men or women depending on the
fashion statement they're trying to make. So you start by drawing the top there. This
is where the waist band will go. You might draw a little drawstring in there for if this
is going to be like sort of a swim trunk. You might add that there so they can cinch
them up, even add a few little loops if you feel like it, if they want to make that type
of fashion statement. That goes at the top. Then come down give it a little bit of space
for where the pockets might hang. So bring your lines out just a little bit. Then, come
on down. Give it a little bit of a wrinkle to the edge there. These are supposed to be
trunks after all. And then bring them to an end at the bottom just like that. Then we're
going to come right back up the middle just like that and complete the outline of it.
Add the bottom portion there. Maybe add a little bit of a design coming up the side
where the hem might be the pocket. You can come in and add that now, little... just a
simple little line along the side just like that. And then from there, it's really just
a matter of taste. Like if you're drawing the classic Bermuda short look, just come
in and draw a few little flowers here and there. Just kind of give it sort of a tropical
Hawaiian surfer kind of vibe. But, at the end of the day, they're not all that complicated,
fairly easy to do. That is essentially how you would draw some Bermuda shorts or swimming
trunks.
