A housing status change is when a student changes their living situation
between living on campus, off-campus, or at home with parents
or relatives
When a student plans to change their housing status
they need to fill out the "Adjustment to Housing Status" form.
By submitting this form, the student makes a formal request
to update their housing status, and subsequently their financial aid awards.
Be sure to fill out the form in its entirety
beginning with your Student ID number. This will start with digits "1-0-0".
This is not your application ID number or your UCMNetID.
Then fill in your last name,
first name, and middle initial. If you're moving from "at home" status to "on-campus"
or "off-campus" status,
please fill in your current address.
In any case, please fill out your email address
and most accessible phone number so that we can contact you in case we have
any questions about the information on your form.
In the next section, select the option that best fits your new housing status.
If you are moving from "on-campus" or "off-campus" status
to live at home with parents or relatives, select this option.
If you're moving from off-campus or at home with parents or relatives
to live on-campus, select this option. If you select this option,
be sure that you have already submitted an application and made a deposit for
housing to UC Merced.
If you are moving from on-campus or at home with parents or relatives
to off-campus be sure to include the address if your new residence.
If you select this option and are moving from home with parents or relatives,
Be sure to submit a lease agreement stating your name and new address.
Lastly sign and date the form.
As always, make sure that the form is completely filled out before submitting it
to our office.
Otherwise, this may cause delays in the financial aid process.
