Hey Guys, Megafishguy1001 here I'm sorry if i havent
had a video for a few weeks and even a few months.I have been extremly busy and i have
given my tank a bit of a makeover.and i have got new fish , so lets get on with the tank
and update.I obviously added new plants and i found out that plants with shorter roots
and less light requirments should be at the front and the ones that need high light and
devolp lots of roots should be at the back of the tank.To suit this I made a mountain
type aquascape wich means all the plants that develop long roots get more sand for them
to grow roots.Rooted plants are towards the back and the driftwood plants are at the front
except for the Hygrophilia. My fish may be a bit stressful or scared but the neon tetras
are bright which suggests that the water conditions are okay or perfect tank conditions for my
tropical fish.I purchased this like wreck which is supposed to look like a roman Colosseum
and the cory catfish who are algae feeders like feeding on the green algae if they are
hungry. The first week i got it the algae grew but it looked so realistic that i kept it
on and amazingly no more algae grew in other places only on the parts that were already
covered with algae. As you can see I now have Neon Tetras in my tank now.I had five but
now two of them died so i now have three.I think it was as i fed them potato but maybe
they didnt even eat as they might have been stressed after the accimation process.I dont
really know but three of them survived and they look very healthy.Hopefully,I will purchase
two more in the future. Also my filter may look exactly the same but it is not as what
happened with my old filter was that it broke down so I bought a new one and I chose this
one because it has great filteraton and this one now works fine, unfourtenetly it was a
bit expensive and i lost my warrant cared for the other filter.I bought two more sets
of plants. Two of them plants are in a group or bunch and my betta fish likes to hide in
the plant on the left so do my neon tetras. My betta fish dosent really hide by the filter
anymore! Now you can look more closer on these three neon tetras also my cory catfish like
the tank now.The three of these are bright, healthy and fine. Here is my betta fish, he
is doing fine. There has not really been a problem with the tank except for my neon tetras.I
did a 25% water change after i got my new fish and a little bit more after 2 of my tetras
died just incase there actually was a disease in the tank caused by the potato.Anyway the
temperature is fine,it maybe drops a little bit now and then but otherwise it is the perfect
tank temperature.I just tought i'd update you i am sorry that i havent made a video
for a while now, even months from now but that has some reasons such as ; me studying
for my 11+,my holiday and my camera difficulties.Anyway I am sorry about that , my live plants are
I bought Tropica Premium Plant liguid fertilier wich is a very good brand to purchase from.I
even add some on the Tetra Plantamin which dosent always work but i add some of that
to make sure my plants are even healthier and greener. They usually dont grow good because
of the brown algae problem but as you look at this plant you can see that it is outstandingly
green and looking very healthy.I have had it two weeks and not had it cleaned for that
time period.and so is that plant but it has a little bit of algae on it.My Hygrophilia
is doing very well since the last time you saw it.Again the plant fertilizer from Tropical
was a bit on the expensive side but it works fine! The Tetra Plantamin also helps a little
bit more. With them two fertilizers they make a amazing plant steroid. I bought all of these
plants from Pets At Home as they keep their plants very will with high lighting, iron and
calcium supplements and they are used to not having a plant based substrate.I didn't take
that little block or circular cap they come in to hold them together.Mainly because every
time I do that my roots don't grow that long but this way my plants now grow out of the
caps which may only be a problem in a couple of months time. As you can see my plants are
really healthy. The Hygrophila used to be full of Brown Algae but I add more fertilizer
and put a little bit of Tetra Algumin and that must have helped the growth of the plants. And
maybe because of my new filter, talking about my filter I didn't put the sponges and biomax
that came with it as just a few weeks i did my filter maintenance and i want most of my
beneficial bacteria to grow.I didnt put the Carbon in as i only use it for medical purposes.
I did my maintenance about two weeks ago as you only need to do you maintenance every
3-6 months. And there is plenty of bacteria in the substrate which is two inches deep.Anyway

in your tank.Bye!
