It's going to prepare us for what it's gonna be like in the industry.
>>Katelyn MOCHRIE: You get to think about products and stuff
that we would actually put into a store and everything to do with that side of the marketing,

>>Rikki CARTER:
At the start of the year we're given a brief by our industry partners and we break up into
our YEP groups.
>>Eleni VADARLIS:
From that we conduct consumer surveys to find out more information about what they want.
Then we do some trend forecasting to find out what's going on in industry.
We all researched using online material. We then developed a concept which we based our
entire project on. We had a visual merchandising team which worked with Photoshop, store layouts,
designing the range and colouring the range.
>>Rebecca SMITH:
As a team we created our mood board for our concept idea. We then developed a range with
the inclusion of an accessories board as well. And we also developed a store layout for visual
merchandising and a visual merchandising window as well.
>>Rikki CARTER:
And then we also had a marketing team which dived more into the strategic marketing role.
We
made a trend forecasting booklet. We created a number of promotional strategies for our
industry partners.
And this is developed by having weekly mentor meetings and also
meet with our industry partners along the way to see whether we're on the right track
or not before our final presentation.
>>Eleni VADARLIS:
And then we present it to the industry to see whether they like it or not.
>>Rebecca
SMITH: The winner is announced on the launch night
of YEP.
>>Eleni VADARLIS: We're gonna win!
>>Hayley ASHWORTH:
It's over ;0)
