Hi guys.
So today we're going to learn to do something pretty cool.
We are going to learn how to post your
blog posts automatically to your Google Plus business page.
Now I found I ran into the problem that I have a personal Google Plus profile.
[MUSIC]
And I have a Google+ business page as well.
And I was active in my personal profile but nothing was happening in my business page.
And, if you've followed my videos before you'd know
that I have a Google+ badge installed on my blog.
And people people were starting to follow it, but when they
followed it, it follows my Google+ page, not my personal Google+ profile.
So they weren't getting any updates. There wasn't any real reason to follow.
[MUSIC]
So, I looked up how to get your RSS, or your blog post automatically posted to your
Google Plus business page, and you can do this via this program called Hoot Suite.
The address is hootsuite.com,.
and it's free and you can add.
Five different social networks.
So to start we are going to click add another social
network, connect to Google plus. We're going to allow access
and we are going to tick the pages we want to access here.
[MUSIC]
and finish importing. I've already added them.
That's why you saw that thing that just popped up.
But when you add them the first time, there won't be a problem.
Then, we are going to go to this Gear over here,
go to RSS Atom and this is going to pop up.
This will probably have nothing for you but if
you click a button, that's going to bring up this
little box here. So we're gonna need our RSS feed
[MUSIC]
Now to find that, it's pretty easy. Go to our webpage or website.
Then we are going to View Page Source, sorry that was a Right Click, View Page Source.
We're going to highlight or feed here should be
website slash feed we're going to copy we're good suite
paste that in and then networks that I up to
that's where you want to send the feed to remember
we're going to send it to the page and then we
are going to choose however often you wanted to update it.
So, every hour, posts one at a time.
Then there are other options, you can include text or not include text.
And we're gonna save the feed.
You can actually add two RSS feeds and then connect them to five
different social networking sites so I hit my limit for the Free version
of HootSuite. I just need it for this one profile.
So let me show you what that looks like when it's done.
I'm gonna head over to my business page here, and you can
see these are all blog posts that I've done since setting up.
Hoot suite and I'm getting it to post my RSS to my business page.
So now, when someone goes to my website and
they see this section here where you can follow someone on the Google
Plus page, so they click oh, I want to follow this Google Plus page.
Then when I make blog posts on my business page it'll
go into their feed, so they'll get notified when I post.
And the advantage of that means that they don't have to actually sign
up for any sort of feedburner or email inbox or anything like that.
They'll just get the information directly to their Google+ profile.
[MUSIC]
So thanks for watching.
If you have any questions or comments go ahead and let me know.
I'll be happy to answer.
And I'll see you in the next video. Bye.
