FAST Racing Neo is a futuristic racing game made by one of my favorite indie developers, Shin'en Multimedia.
This is a downloadable title that is available on the eShop for the Wii U.
This is a downloadable title that is available on the eShop for the Wii U.
This is actually not the first game in this series.
FAST Racing League, for the original Wii, was in fact the first game in the FAST Racing franchise.
And that game was actually very good. It was one of the best downloadable games on the Wii back in 2011.
And I think that FAST Racing Neo is also a very good racing game.
The graphics are very impressive, with lots of details, great textures, and everything is running at 60 fps.
Well, sometimes you can see some slowdown happening here and there, but as I said,
it only happens sometimes. Most of the game is running at a solid 60 fps.
I also like the art style of FAST Racing Neo, because the game looks very realistic.
I mean, the game is in the future, but the tracks still look like places that could exist in real life.
Of course, I do like the crazy style of F-Zero,
but I find this more realistic approach of FAST Racing Neo also very appealing.
And everything that I've just said about the visuals,
can also be said about the music and the sound effects. Everything is really well made.
They even hired the same announcer from F-Zero GX to be announcer in this game.
In terms of gameplay, I think FAST Racing Neo doesn't dissapoint.
The controls are good. I mean, it's gonna take a while for you to get used to the controls,
specially if you haven't played a game like this before.
But after you get used to the controls,
you're not gonna have any problems playing the game.
Everything is very responsive, and you can play with the Wii U Pro controller, if you want.
And I don't really think there is anything bad to say about the controls here.
What sets FAST Racing Neo apart from other futuristic racing titles is the color phase mechanic that the game has.
In the game your car has two colors phases: orange and blue, and you can
change the colors during the races. You need to choose the right colors in order to get boost and jumps in the tracks.
So orange color for boost strips and jumps that are orange, and blue color for boost strips and jumps that are blue.
So orange color for boost strips and jumps that are orange, and blue color for boost strips and jumps that are blue.
It sounds simple, but when you have to remember that the games is really fast,
so when you're racing you not only have to pay attention to race but also to the phase your car is using.
And I think that makes the game more interesting and more appealing and more fun to play.
If you have ever played Ikaruga, you'll know what I'm talking about here.
So I've seen a lot of journalists saying that this is super difficult,
but I disagree with that. The game has 3 levels of difficulty: subsonic, supersonic and hypersonic.
but I disagree with that. The game has 3 levels of difficulty, subsonic, supersonic and hypersonic.
And they also represent the speed classes that you're gonna be playing.
And, yes, the hypersonic class is very very fast. Actually, all the gameplay that you're watching here is from the hypersonic class.
However, when you reach the hypersonic class, you will already have all the tracks memorized,
so it's not gonna be a lot more difficult than the previous classes.
If you just wanna finish all the cups and unlock all the 10 cars the game has,
I don't really think you're gonna have a problem with the level of difficulty in this game.
What is hard in FAST Racing Neo is the Hero Mode, however, this is an extra mode
that was designed for people who want an extra challenge,
but it's not mandatory to unlock the tracks or the cars.
So it's just an extra mode for those who want more of the game.
FAST Racing Neo also has multiplayer modes, both local and online. In the local multiplayer you can play with up to four people at the same time.
Which is actually something you don't see really often in racing games nowadays, so yeah, that's actually great.

And the online mode, well, I've played the game online for a few hours now and I didn't have any problem.
And the online mode, well, I've played the game online for a few hours now and I didn't have any problem.
I mean, got disconnected from a match twice, but that's about it.
And that's something normal for any game. So at least for me the online multiplayer mode is working just fine.

So yeah, that's my review of FAST Racing Neo for the Wii U. It's a great racing game, it's really well made, really fast, great graphics
and I think that any F-Zero fan who owns a Wii U should play this game.
