Whether you car has factory or custom wheels, keeping them clean is an
important part of the overall appearance. With a variety of wheel cleaners
available, it is important to choose the right one for your wheels. Wheel
manufacturers use a variety of materials to achieve different looks, and
choosing the wrong wheel cleaner could damage your wheels.
Meguiar's offers three wheel cleaners, designed to be safe and effective on
each wheel type. Our Aluminum Wheel Cleaner is completely safe on delicate,
uncoated polished aluminum and anodized wheels. Our All Wheel Cleaner is
designed specifically for all factory coated wheels. And our Chrome Wheel
Cleaner is the perfect choice for keeping those chrome wheels looking their
best.
To clean your wheels properly, let them cool down and rinse thoroughly with
water. Spray a liberal amount of the correct wheel cleaner onto a wheel,
and allow the foaming cleansers to penetrate for up to 15 seconds. For
extremely dirty wheels, it may be necessary to use a premium wheel brush to
help loosen stubborn brake dust. Rinse the wheel thoroughly with plenty of
water.
Now repeat this process on your other wheels. And don't forget to dry your
wheels to minimize the chance of water spots. When done right, there's
nothing better than a clean set of wheels on a clean car.
