[Intro Music] Bankers U - ID Protection: Protecting Military Families Our military families face a variety of stresses in their life. They often times find themselves having to deal with situations with a much higher level of stress than than perhaps the average U.S. citizen deals with in many cases you will find that perhaps one of the military couple is overseas on active duty and you have another spouse that's at home and trying to sort through everything and unfortunately what we see in very many cases is that military families are subject to a high-level of fraud. part of this is because they don't really appropriately ship their information out when they are transferred from one active duty station to the next. They move a lot. A lot of the things that would normally raise a flag for an institution doesn't necessarily apply for a military family. And so they encounter a great deal of fraud. the other thing that we've seen over the years is for many years your social security number was your identification number and it was printed on everything from your dog tags to your commissary card. It was stamped on your sea bags, it was everywhere. While that is no longer used as you're identifier in many cases we find that it's out there and in too many places and too many individuals have that information. And so what this program does is it works with the military family to put some protections around the military family so that their information cannot be used as easily as perhaps it is without those protections it takes them off of some of the lists they would normally be on where they get unsolicited offers for credit they get mail that doesn't transfer properly it puts the net around the military family to protect and preserve the information so that they can go on and do what they need to do and deal with their family issues and being an active military and it also focuses on line helping them deal with financial stresses and fraud issues when perhaps one of the members of the couple is not able to deal with this on their own or if you have an instance where perhaps it's a an adult child in the family member another family members trying to deal with it. We can take a lot of aggressive action and protect that military family so that they don't have to worry about coming home to a real serious case of fraud and finding that they're fighting in new battle, that they shouldn't have to fight.
