From new graphical components for enhanced data visualization, to a load-balanced and distributed server platform, to the new ad-hoc designer for simple, self-service reporting for your end users, ActiveReports 8 brings you these and lots more exciting new reporting features for HTML5, WPF, WinForms, .NET and Azure. The new Maps Report Item enhances data visualization in your reports with spatial and analytical geographical representation. The Maps support a variety of views and projections that would fit your needs for the perfect map. In addition, you can add vector layers and Virtual Earth tile layers from Microsoft Bing service with your API key. ActiveReports 8 also features a brand new HTML5 viewer optimized for the mobile device user experience with touch friendly UI. Whether it be an iPhone, iPad, Android or Windows device, your reports will be available to your users with the full interactivity that you developed. The viewer also features additional mobile friendly features including offline reports, drill down capabilities, report distribution and much more. Our barcodes keep getting better. We expanded our support of GS1 Composite Symbology for RSS14Stacked and RSSLimited barcode styles. And we added MicroPDF417 options to control compaction and segments. Also new in Version 8 is ActiveReports 8 Server – a report server with secure, intelligent scalability features enabling developers to deploy their reports to a report portal with ease. This server based platform includes support for multi-tenant reporting, security extensibility, data caching and report optimization features that every application needs to ensure high performance of the reports modules. Also available now is the ActiveReports 8 Server Report Designer – is a rich, 100% Web-based ad hoc reporting solution, enabling your business users to easily create their own interactive reports. This browser-based report designer offers secure, scalable storage, supports multi-tenant reporting, and includes an SDK for accelerating self-service BI much more effectively than traditional reporting tools. ActiveReports 8 introduces touch support for Windows Viewer and WPF Viewer. This feature gives you the flexibility to interact with the Viewers using simple touch gestures.
